I'm Trying Not To Give Up...
It's been an interesting few weeks. I haven't been on the WA site for a while now... not after my discussion over finances with the hubby.
I understand his frustration. We need money now. This website endeavor isn't making money. At least not right now. For a little while, I just said "screw it". And decided to give up on WA. (It doesn't take much to discourage me when I have my hopes up SO high!)
I've started trying to refurbish and sell furniture from home, in hopes of upping our income and possibly making home a happier place to be.
No bites yet. But I guess we'll just have to pray, believe, wait, and see.
I just signed back into WA today... and almost deleted my account. I really don't have the $ to be paying for a premium membership right now...
But I just don't know...
I updated my website with two new posts today... in hopes of catching some attention.

I'm just so torn right now!

Hello Tabitha,
I would not repeat what others have said other than emphasizing the word of "patience" in the WA program.
Trust me, I know what it's like to be struggling with just making ends meet. Been there...done that.
Hate to see you leave WA because it's those that stick with a proven program, that will (in time) see and get the results that they are after.
There are so many programs online that take your money and give pretty much, nothing in return. This is the only program, after many years of wasting money, that I have ever seen that actually takes you by the hand, as an individual, and teaches you how to do online marketing.
Stick with it. You'll be all the better in the end.
I found your intro to yourself rather interesting. I have several friends that are roma. Mostly live in the Seattle area though. Stick with your goals.
:) Tom
Thanks Tom... I believe I will stick with it.
Just gonna have to find a way to convince the hubby that it's worth it. lol
Just a suggestion...
Be sure that you have the understanding of WA, first of all. What I mean is that you'll have the knowledge to be able to answer any of his questions and address his concerns about the new "venture" that you are starting.
In my family, it's seems to be just the opposite of yours. My wife is the one that has always been "the Devil's advocate" and asked all sorts of questions. Mainly it's been about the programs and online ventures that I've had to work with in the past. None of which, were much good. They did though, take my money! :(
However, when I was introduced to WA, I did my "homework" first, and explored the entire program during my first 7 day "come and see" within the WA community.
In that way, I informed myself and was able to answer most of her questions. Now that I've gotten a little bit of a foothold in WA and how Kyle is teaching all of us, she too, had to agree that this is the very best program that I've ever come across.
Wishing you the very best. :) Tom
I was going to share to my social sites, but didn't see any share buttons. Did I miss something? I see where Angela siad she was able to share. Let me know and I'll do what I can.
You've had lots of great advice so I won't repeat. Just don't give up, show your hubby this thread. Am off to share your site and add you on Pinterest now :)
So sorry to hear about your challenges Tabitha, I was wondering what had happened to you, but don't give up yet - it looks like you have some good help here. Often it's just when you are about to throw in the towel that things suddenly come right. I would do my bit too, but I am not anywhere near your league yet, technically speaking.
I empathize with you as I am also having major financial issues right now - won't go into details as I don't want to give the situation any more negative energy than I have done; but do your best to take your attention off what you don't want, and put it on what you do want. Remember that what you resist, persists. We are all energetic beings, so what you put out is what you will attract - if you focus on lack, you will just create more lack for yourself. So put your energy into what it is you want to attract, and then let go of attachment to outcome - that bit is imperative, but easier said than done! Sending you lots of love and positive energy!
I am currently reading a wonderful book by Deepak Chopra called SynchroDestiny (it was published under another name in the US, but I don't know what it was). It's basically a how-to book with regard to attracting what you want, but so much more than the usual Law-of-Attraction stuff. You may find it helpful...
Tabitha, you are very talanted, my I suggest some 30 day wisdom?
There are more websites to build and with Black Friday and Christmas around the corner, I have made the choice to at least try till then. You're talented, I've seen your work. I'm still on my first website with an iPad, it's a bit rougher but getting there.
Have you heard of the great baseball player Mickey Mantle? He is in the hall of fame . He hit 298 which simply means he got a hit every 29,8% at bat. That doesn't sound so great. But he managed 536 home runs and he ran like the wind in his prime and he played 18 years till his knees have out. One record he is not proud of is that he struck out 1710 times. In his 18 years, he's considered one of the all time greatest.
So when he batted he didn't get a hit 70.1% of the time and 1710 of those non hits were strikeouts. Does that sound like a hall of famer to you?
Ok , the elephant site isn't doing what you hoped, it's ok, try something else. Go to basic training and push the company and you can get residual income every month, if you don't have another niche.
Get a mentor to help you like DavyRobot or go down the list of helpers. You can do this.
My very best
Jim
Sorry, found an other way in, and found your buttons, I am pinning your stuff now :-) You should also consider naming your photos with the actual thing on the picture. For pinterest the text below the photo is the same as the title of your photo, You can change it when you pin it ( I did ) but for visitors it is better that it says " I phonhecase for s4 mini" than just "click to phurcase" if you know what I mean :-) On Pinterest you can't always see what is on the photo... Pinned 6 of your products to Pinterest bazaar, at the moment 10038 followers and rising. Hope this get you some traffic, good luck
Thank you so much for your help Marith! I have been considering Pinterest as well, just haven't had the time! You're awesome. Hope all is well with you!
I agree with Angela, also wanted to share, but no buttons. I also use the AddToAny plug in. I also noticed when I click homedecor, figurines or candle....I get the box with the start of your article, but it is not click-able, and don't take me anywhere..so not able to read the post, or see your ads/links.
Oh, get some social share buttons on your site! I use Share Buttons by AddtoAny but I know others use Shareaholic.
I wanted to share and there were no buttons. :)
Thanks! I'll try to figure that out and let you know once I get some up.
Is it a plug in or a widget?
Alrighty! All set up! Let me know if that works or not! lol (I was so wondering how to do this, and kept forgetting to ask. You are might knight in shining armor today Miss Angela!)
Works great! I have shared on all of my 5 social sites.
I'm glad I could help. Call on me when you need a pick me up. I'm one of your biggest fans. (after your husband of course!) :)
What about doing a site to showcase your home business? Get some stencils (or draw if you're able) and add elephant images to the furniture? then just have a page on your current site.
I think your current niche is quite interesting and I'm sure there are others who enjoy elephants as much as you.
Socially share everything. Does your area have a FB yard sale or something similar? Post your furniture on there.
Thanks Angela!
Yes, I'm posting my furniture on the local yard sale pages on Facebook. I've considered creating a site that is dedicated to unique furniture... but I'd need a bigger space to house more furniture if I were to have more than a few items on there at a time. So For now, I just have to stick to Facebook sales.
I thought about trying to showcase my stuff on my elephant site, but people from all over the world can access that, and I can't ship a coffee table to Texas or anything. I mean... perhaps I could... but I don't know. lol Never shipped anything like that before.
Sounds like your next step then is to check on shipping prices. You could also say buyer is responsible for shipping costs.
You can do it. If space is a problem, start smaller. Have one or two tables and do some smaller projects. We picked up an old vanity and chair (bench) at the flea market for $25. The kind with the swivel mirror. It is so cute. But you can do things like jewelry boxes or small cedar chests (I have one of those - it sits on my desk). Expand your thinking and make your projects work within the space you have.

Your furniture looks great, your site looks great...sometimes it is just a matter of "time" and giving yourself enough of it in order to succeed. Most people simply don't and that is the biggest reason I see people fail online.
People will spend 20 years at a JOB to get a $5 raise yet they won't give themselves a year to create a successful business online. One that is doing something they enjoy.
I know you are in a financial situation, but I do think that this will also put a lot of perspective Tabitha.

You are amazingly talented and it will only continue to come out and pay dividends as you move forward with your online business.
True story Kyle. Hopefully the hubby will agree to let me keep being a premium member so I can continue with training. We'll see. :) Thanks for the help and support.
