Scared to Dare to Care
This blog is about me and being scared to publish my website. I care but I feel that I want to have a perfect website before I publish. This is where the dare comes in. I'm daring myself that I will have caring people look at my website and be honest and brutal about what I need to do to fix and/or improve the site. All comments are welcome.

Fear is meant to be trudged right through. Just start posting what's on your heart. You can always change it later. Your website will never be perfect. Think of it as always a work in progress. Just write the best you know how. You can correct it later. Mistakes are good teachers. Jeannie
You have to be confident in everything that you do yes you are going to have criticism but you have to realize that you can't satisfy everyone, you have to be confident and focus and also make your website unique because there is over 2 billion people who be on the Internet so there's plenty of Traffic to Target so don't sit on your site put it out there and let the world know what you're trying to do because if you put the work in on a daily basis Trust me someone or more than one will be into what you're building
I was scared to publish my sites too when I first started, but now I'm afraid of nothing when it comes to publishing.
hi greg,
Nice site and it loads very easy and seemless..the pages are not too cluttered and its easy to navigate through the site.. In the "Contact Us" page I think there is a mis-spelling..."Contract"
other than that it looks good...
good luck to you going forward,
cheers.

Gregory, I'm sure my websites have a ton of mistakes. Whatever I have written is honest. I can be proud of that. The writing style is all me (God help the universe). There probably are people out there who don't like my writing style. You can't please all of the people all of the time etc.
As for the technical stuff, when I learn more I will slowly fix it.
The most important thing is that you are straightforward from the heart. That will always come shining through.

Thanks, I really appreciate your comments and you are correct about pleasing all the people but my biggest problem is pleasing myself.
Gregory, We are all tough critics of ourselves. Be secure in the knowledge that as you learn about something you will be able to fix what needs to be repaired. It is OK.

It appears to be a purely shopping site? Will there be information and what will the information be that you offer? Or is it just a totally shopping site for great deals? What kind of products? All kinds or only certain kinds? I need to see an About Us page. But so far so good in terms of clean and simple appearance, colors, and nothing complicated to navigate.
The about us page is right below the word catalog in the left column. Do you think I need it on every page?
I see it now. But you have to click on the icon at the top left of the home page before you can see any of the other important pages such as "Catalog" and "About Us." I didn't click on the icon because I didn't know what was behind it. Certainly something like "About Us" should be more obvious to viewer. Maybe you can add some words such as "Click Here To Start" or make the icon more meaningful, e.g. the icon for the shopping cart is meaningful in that it's obviously a shopping cart.
If I understand what you are seeing is the shopping cart then after you click the rest drops down. The screen shot attached is what I see. Do you see a different home page?
That didn't occur to me. Why yes, I see a different homepage using Internet Explorer (don't see what's on the left, but have to click on an icon that looks like three parallel horizontal lines to see "About Us", etc.). However, with Firefox browser, I do see everything in your screen shot.
What IE version because my IE 11 shows the picture that I sent you? You are a great help to me in this. Thanks a bunch!
