Hello to everyone and thanks for your help when I needed it. s of know I have been working on my web sites and working on the bootcamp. Probably should be doing more bootcamp but got fought up with getting my business web site back up and working. Which is my graphic design company. The other one I started when I first got here is on unemployment, called unemployednot.com. My thinking is trying to get people to WA through it. I haven't done much work on it until I find out more on all the how too's, but what I have is up.

My other site greggdi.com is for my graphics. I am having some problem with the logo page. When you click on a logo it does not come up with the background of the site. It just pops up on another pager in the top left corner. If you check out the other pages and click on one of those samples they do come up with the background page of my site. Don't know what I did differently. The other thing is I would rather have a side bar of page listings and where I can put some ads instead of the bottom of the page as it is now. I am not sure if I have to change the design I picked out or it's just a mater of customizing the page I have.

If you would please check out my sites, all comments are welcome. heck, we won't learn anything if you don't hear feed back. So give me your honest opinions, and if you can help me with the o there two problems I have that would be great.

Have a great day and thanks,

Greg

where do I find my website

Hello everyone and thanks for all your comments they are real good. As for my greggdi site, yes it is to promote my graphic design company and the pictures are my portfolio, past designs I have done for other companies.
I'll have to check on the unemplayednot site to see why it isn't up.

Thanks levy for all your comments, I will check out the link about the blank page. It's only doing it to this one page.
Have a great day to all,
Greg

logo's something I am working on with a degree of frustration lol I know some people have gotten theirs designed with fiverr not to sure how it works or how good it is

If you need help let me know, I do them for a living. Are you wanting one for yourself?

thank you, it is a question of I want to master getting it done lol

Well the site fiverr is just another place where you can get logos and other things done for you, which is what I do. So if you would like to have a logo done I would be more than happy to do one for you. If you like send me what you want your looking for, the colors you like to have and I can go from their. You can send the info to gregjg@charter.net

that is very kind of you I am working on one now if it all gets too much for me will be in touch, I am keen to learn how to do it.. I really do appreciate it

Hi Greg, what can you do with that logo's, can you purchase them? At first I would handle that when you click on a loge that it opens in a new window. If it's meant to sale them, I would add a contact site, with telephone and adress data, I would not think of ordering something where are no data available, this about the greggdi.com - about the unemployednot.com, SERVER NOT FOUND Greetings Loes

Hi Loes, while I can't speak for Greg, I think he is trying to sell his services as a graphic designer. It is likely that these logos were created for previous customers. It's his online portfolio. That being said, I agree that he should certainly create a contact page and provide information on how to purchase his services.

Hi Greg. The reason your logo images go to the blank page is because they aren't attached to any page or post on your site. Read this article to get more information on how to correct this issue.

http://digwp.com/2012/05/attach-unattached-media-files/

Alternatively, you could also look into using one of the many gallery or lightbox plugins available to adjust how users view and interact with your images.

Your side bar issue could be a setup problem, or it could just be part of the theme design you chose. I would need to know which theme you are using to offer any help here.

All the best,

Levi

Levi, I read the link you left, but my media library has no attach/unattach links anywhere. When you select an image, the bottom right of the page has "Attachment Details." I always fill that in completely. Does that mean the media photos are attached? If so, mine still don't show up when I go to post to social media. I have other websites and these two are the only ones that come up with this big blue blob, no matter how many photos I have on the post. Any ideas?

Hi Carla, could I get links to the two websites you are referring to?

My two sites are: http://realmoneynoscams.com and http://verydressyflats.com Thanks for any help you can give, Levi!

Hmm...interesting and strange. I've confirmed that your images do not show up when links from your site are posted to social media. Do you use either of these themes on any other sites where the preview on social media does work?

No. And I have other sites that have been built for me where the images DO show up. I've compared the sites, the way they are built, the plug-ins used. I try to align all my sites in the same way in the dashboard. Why these two don't show, I honestly don't know. I will take another look at it tomorrow when I'm fresher. There has to be some little thing I'm missing. Thanks for your help, Levi. It's appreciated!

Yeah, I would maybe just try another theme and see if the themes are preventing the social media from scanning your website for available images. Let me know how it goes, and if I think of anything, I will be sure to let you know.

Thanks again, Levi!
