You'll find most themes have their own settings and you just have to play around with it to see results. I wouldn't worry about any of this yet Walter. Stick to the training.
As long as you follow the training step-by-step and follow through with each lesson, you won't miss anything Walter :)
It's off to a great start Walter! I would focus on writing up more content for each page and post you write. Generally I put up about 1,000 words each time as I find this gets better results.
I would recommend you add more information to your about me page.
Focus on finishing the training at WA, then focus on making your site look better.

Ya anything is fine. You need to find something you know about or are willing to learn and post. Content on your site is crucial to get indexed.
If you are an expert at basket weaving, that's a great. I know earning earning money on line is a sought after thing. But if you check jaaxy, you may find its very crowded. But since its so sought after and you have the benefit of jaaxy, you can get the right words to get ranked if you do it right.
Its trial and error. You may need to change a thing or 2 down the line.
One thing I think you should do is activate site mapping once you are close to being finished so Google can get their crawlers out yo find you.
Whatever you do make sure you choose something that is enjoyable for you to write about and not solely money orientated or you won't be motivated to build up content.
You can go this route too Walter. But it's VERY important that you pick one route and stick to it. If you're going to do this route, then you're going to promote Wealthy Affiliate and need to do Bootcamp.

This means it'll take sometime (perhaps months) to see results from it. but Bootcamp is VERY good at showing you how to get results.
I would recommend you carefully consider if Wealthy Affiliate is what you want to promote or go back to your previously chosen niche.
In the end you should choose what YOU are most familiar with. This will help you GREATLY. Stick to a topic you know very well and choose a niche off that.

Natural/organic pet foods is a pretty good niche Walter. But I would recommend narrowing it down a little bit more. Maybe natural dog foods or natural cat foods.
The more specific we are, the better it will be and since you create a siterubix site, as a premium member, you can always create another one quickly and for free.

If it's for cats, same keywords, except replace dogs with cats.

These are just some examples which popped into my head. You can write articles on your site on each and everyone of these things.
