An Aid To Help Me Stay On Track
I was thinking about the assignment from Kyle to write 12 blog posts this month, which is quite a lot for me, mostly because I have to come up with subjects for my blogs.
While I was thinking, I had an idea. Why not start "holder blogs" is Site Content, that would let me see the progress i'm making?
Since you can write a post in Site Content and wait to publish it, here's what I did: I simply wrote in the title "Title goes here", then in the content "Content goes here."
Then I saved it, went back to the dashboard, and started a new post. In this one, in the title area I put "Title 2", and in the content area "Content 2." Saved it, went to dashboard and started again. "Title 3," Content 3." And so on.
Since I've already written 2 posts since the month started, I only need 10 more, so here's a screenshot of what I ended up with:
Now when I am ready to write a post, I just select the next one in line, change the title, and write my content. This way I can watch my progress, and see what I have left for the month. Now I just have to get busy and write the posts.
If this idea helps anyone, that's great. Maybe someone already thought of it, but if not, here it is.
Thanks.
Grant

I like your idea. I've started a number of rough drafts when I think of a topic that I want to write about. My goal is to get the unpublished folder all published. Yet some of those go to different websites that are simply "aging" at the moment due to lack of time.
Yet, your idea allows us to visually progress towards the goal of having all 12 written.
Best wishes.
I knew you could save and not publish yet, never thought of this.
I think I will have to do this. Thank you Grant.
I can't say that I am as advanced as you are but I have been doing this with posts for my site. I started off making posts with several things included into one and it hit me to break them down so I set up several templates with just a title (just as a reminder ) and that way I can go back and remember what I am wanting to post about as I go.
