Another amen here! Also a resounding yes about telling all this to children. Many have such low self esteem, only because no one thinks to tell them how awesome they are, so they get into self-harming, anorexia, (from anxiety) and so on. Recently, an old work colleague (of my late husband) revealed how much he suffered esteem wise as a teenager, and he said it was mostly due to intimidation by his adult superiors, as well as peer pressure. Looking back, he is both angry and sad that these 'fun years' were so paralysing for him.

Amen to that Georgette! Especially what you say about telling all this to children. I'd like to add, that we shouldn't only tell children that they're awesome, but keep on repeating that when they become adults, too.
