Fell Off the Wagon . . . Err, Bike
I've been MIA for a bit because I was in a motorcycle accident. It wasn't a bad one, thankfully, and my helmet protected me from more extensive damage, but it was enough to give me the biggest bruise I've ever had in my life and a whole lot of road rash.
The accident was a week ago yesterday and I'm finally able to walk and sit without pain. I can only lie on one side in bed though! It would have been much worse without a helmet and jeans, so I'm quite grateful for the protection those things gave me. My husband was also in the accident and he got a banged up knee.
Anyway. As you can imagine, I got a little distracted and haven't done anything of import on my sites for a week. Kind of disappointing, but it is what it is. I guess my challenge will now be 100 days with a 1 week break to recover!

Sorry to hear about this Genesis but happy that you are on the mend!
Take care my friend and all the very best moving forward!
Hey there, I hope you get well soon! I am very careful when riding bikes, although the slick tires grip way better than a normal car tire. It is always best to wear protective clothing, good job there.
We're very careful, too, but in this case, there was a hole in the pavement that my husband didn't see until it was too late (on a curve). Not much that could be done to prevent it, unfortunately.

Nothing like some gravel rash to get respect. Lol.
Am sorry to hear but you are lucky nothing serious. I’ve only had 2 tumbles in the last 5 years. I live in Vietnam and it becomes a regular thing over here. No less pleasant though.

I suspect Vietnam is similar to Guatemala in some ways . . . likely in how "great" the streets are, lol. It's definitely not fun, but I'm healing up fast, so it's all good.
And the traffic is insane, possibly the same.
