Hello Fellow Affiliates

I am recovering from a hard drive crash, that devastated my entire online world, I have back ups by not all, as you know, when being very active online, sometimes lots is achieved in a few short days and we do not backup our work everyday.

So here's to recovery and marching on.

All the best

Had it happen and it really sucks, have installed a second hard drive for back up.

I have an external for backup, but one still has to remember to back initiate the back up, I did every 2 weeks, so I lost 2 weeks work.

Oh...that's always a painful loss. :(
Hope you can get back most of it.

I have backups of most of the data, but the most recent I did not back up immediately before the crash.

Tough luck. Reminder that I should also backup. Actually I don't backup often either.

I've had hard drives crash on 2 computers and had to replace them. I've been having trouble with what I thought was sticky keys but the real problem was that I needed my computer tuned up because it was going slow and was affecting my typing so it was done remotely yesterday and my computer was down for 4 hours

Wow, you just explained my problem, Now that I think back, I too thought I was having problems with my keyboard, until my hard drive crashed, I purchased a new laptop in the interim.

Hi Gary.
Install a second hard drive in your system and set up mirroring.
That way you will have redundancy/ fault tolerance.

Sounds good I will look into it and implement., thanks for the advice.

You are welcome.
I have many friends that have suffered this fate. So that's why I always advise to prepare for catastrophe.

Oww my! how terrible, I hope you can recover quickly from this unfortunate crash!

Yes, Loes I am able to bounce back, some data is lost forever, but I have enough to keep going and build again.

Lucky you:)

I seldom have done my backup, is time to do so.

Back up regularly, it is important as I have learned now.

Can be really devastating. I am sorry, Gary.A good reminder for us all.

Yes it certainly is, I always thought it would never happen to me, so there it is, take all the precautions necessary.

Yes, absolutely.Hope you are getting back to normal.:)

I think best solution is DROPBOX, now you have 1 TB space, or NAS storage. You must have your IMPORTANT material on two independent place (HD).

Thanks for the advice, I will certainly heed it.

I feel for you Gary. I had a hard-drive crash last year but I was able to recover all the important stuff.

I have some back ups Marion, but not all, so I need to re create certain things, which in itself is very time consuming, but it has to be done.

Hope that you get that one sorted Gary a timely reminder. We can get a bit rough around the edges when we are in that creative zone.

I am busy with damage control, as you say we must beware of complacency when things are going well.
