My Wealthy Affiliate: 1400% increase in unique clicks after completing course 4!
I've just completed course 4 and am feeling good about having got through this particular course on social media and how to engage more to help my business.
This has been a great eye-opener for me and I have learned much along the way and I have seen real progress with gaining traffic to my sites and in clicks back to Wealthy Affiliate along the way.
Here are a few things I've learned along the way:
1) Social media can really enhance your links if you use it in the right way. Have a look at my stats for January, which is when I started this course.
You'll see that I've had an increase in over 1400% in unique clicks in that time. I have yet to have referral sign up but I see this as only a matter of time now. Most of this has been down to using Twitter to tweet different articles and other posts from within the Wealthy Affiliate site but I'm really pleased with my progress here.
I have to give credit to Sean Greentre (thanks Sean) too for his article which helped a lot. If you haven't read it, you can do so here.

2) Bitly.com is a great way to shorten links for Twitter and is a also a great way to track your links.
3) I love Pinterest - images can really make or break your links and articles and as a visual learner, I just love working with pictures!
4) Facebook can really drive traffic to your sites too. (And it's also great for helping your 11-year-old do her RE homework when she needs to do a survey of 10 adults at the last minute!!!)
A WORD OF WARNING THOUGH TOO:
Social media can really take up your time so you need to use it carefully and limit your time with each site.

You are taking consistent action and not just talking about it. This site is excellent for that. I just read a tweet from Tony Robbins about the fact that discussion doesn't get results, but action does. You have certainly taken action. Keep working and keep growing.

I was really surprised how many clicks I would get to WA when I tweeted about it with my link. I could get 20+ in an hour from one tweet! None of them signed up however. My Twitter account is based around my cat website however, not a make money niche.
I think people were curious how I started my cat site though so when I said they could do what I did they were interested.
I stopped using Twitter last month. I just got too busy with the holidays and having my busiest season ever at work and being sick and starting my second website! Too much!!!
It was also difficult since I mostly retweet cats and dogs on death row in kill shelters. It is so depressing to do that every single day and see so many perfectly perfect pets that are just dumped by lazy people who don't want to take care of pet.
I don't know how to do that every day and not get depressed. I would feel guilty posting anything about WA or my site since I was not retweeting pets!
Anyway, sorry to be such a downer here! I am really, really happy for you and this is inspiring. I will have to try it again.

Way to go Gail. I'd say you're well on your way to success. I haven't finished course 3 yet but I find I have to use earplugs to keep all that information in. I can't wait to get my time thing cleared up, but I have to put family first. Hoping things settle down soon so I can play catch up. Keep rolling girl I think things are really going to start happening for you soon. Meet you at the top.

Great achievement dear Gail. Your success is not far my friend. I hope I can keep going on my learning and blogging to make up for around two months offline due to my modem been hacked. I had to get a new one recently but the connection sometimes is quite slow. I just came back from the ranch soaking wet and freezing. I will begin doing some work and study now. Yesterday it rained from 2:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and I could not do much planting... when I got back home I stayed up until around 2:30 a.m. so I do not know how long I can stay up tonight.
