About Eosegueraf
Joined September 2017
I am a Mexican Agronomist interested in Agroecology, probably the most sustainable organic agricultural option nowadays. I am part of the local and State Organic Growers Council in Michoacán State, México. I love being outdoors, spend a lot of time working at my little ranch or walking in the woods, the desert, beach... I Love quiet, simple life. My preferred pets are dogs and horses. One of my hobbies is photography, (mainly landscapes, plants and animals). I also like dancing, painting, sculpturing and practicing a few crafts -when I find time to do it. Another "hobby" is IT and CS.
I live in Western Mexico (Michoacan) with my wife and my two sons. Part of the time I travel to northern Mexico (northern Chihuahua State) due to working related issues.

Sounds like you are living a great life! I wish you and your wife lived closer.... I'd invite you over for dinner and then we could go find a great place to photograph -- or maybe just take pictures of the horses and other animals.

Best wishes with your work in the organic field also....

Thank you Sondra:
From friday evening to just this afternoon (6:36 p.m.) I felt like a party animal. We had our 2018 family gathering (around 140 of my family -descendants from our great gran parent and his siblings). I will write a post about it and include some images and maybe videos. I was just memorable as it is every gathering.
I would have invited you if you lived closer my friend.

You have a very interesting site. I wish we could do away with the chemicals that are affecting our soil, cloths and animals. I am into alternative medicine. Take some herb supplements but no pharmaceuticals - I promote natural medicine on my site trulygoodlife.com

I booked market your site.

Great Ray:
I am too busy right now but I will visit your website as soon as possible and leave you a comment. I have always put herbal medicine (broadly spread in rural México's family traditions) and other alternatives like homeopathic, acupuncture, chiropractic and else before allopathic drugs, I am convinced that no matter what we are still natural beings and therefore we should stick to natural products of every kind instead of chemical synthesis products. I also booked mark your site. Congratulations my friend.

Love your style of life, organic food is fast becomeing the only way to eat. It is tough though, harder than just spraying for bugs & growth with chemicals.
I love horses, never had the chance to have much to do with them, but to me they smell so good. Dog don't smell so good. I have a little old poodle and he is quite smelly and needs a lot of attention.
Hope you prosper here at WA, the group is great and learning is

Nice meeting country/wilderness people -they are the most honest, real and humble people. I know that, I,ve seen that.
Even in suburban areas, if you have access to a 30 ft by 30 ft piece of sunny land and a way to water it, you can plant a vegetable garden and produce enough fresh organic veggies for a family of 4 along the growing season. That would be a good beginning.

Well I tell you, I have a very small yard. I do have two producing satsuma trees (Louisiana orange). I did build two planter boxes about 9' x 3' each. Year before last I planted okra in one box 3' x 3' and it was producing 6 to 8 okras every week! Louisiana has hot summers so my tomatoes don't do well. Onions do okay, but snails eat pepper plants.
I made a bug spray of onions and garlic which worked when I used it. I just wish it would produce more. My wife planted a couple potatoes in pot, which grew well for awhile.
Thank you Eugenio. I will check your site out.

Hi Ken: I see you are already working on growing your own, great! Tomatoes can stand heat over 105°F, but are highly susceptible to moisture, which you have lots in Louisiana. If you protect them from rain by making a "roof" with leftover sacks or the like, they may thrive.
Snails love beer, so, pour a little bit (and drink the rest ;)) on a plate, bury it at ground level and next morning there will be lots of them dead. Wood ashes are also a great help, and for ants as well. Onion and garlic tea should be sprayed every two weeks as a preventive measure (it also deters fungi and nematodes -worm-like creatures)
I hope it helps. I will write about it on my site.
Eugenio.

Wow, thank you very much, Eugenio. I didn't know about the rain so I'll be better prepared next spring. The tomatoes that my wife planted from seeds Easter did very well until it started getting hot (mid July). Tomatoes I planted in June never did anything. I grew up in Texas and my parents always had a big garden. Their garden had rows, where as my little planter box does not. I hope next summer will be much better. Thank you again for your advice.

Hi Eosegueraf! Welcome to WA! This is the place to be to learn other "hobbies"! :)
We share a love for horses! On our farm when I was a kid we bred and raised them. Learned to ride when I was 4. We showed them too.
Nice to meet you!

Looking forward,
Billie J. Murphy

Hello Billie:
Nice meeting you, I also love horses, at 2 years old I fell off my father's horse with no harm.
Let's keep in touch my friend.
Warm greetings from México.

Hi Eugenio, Thanks for the follow and I want to wish you much success with WA. I would love to know what Agroecology is. I work with organic essential oils and wonder what kind of agriculture you are involved in. I am an avid gardener and photographer too. Also very crafty. Have a great day.

Hi Catherine:
Congratulations for your WA's EO business. I'm interested in visiting your site. I'll try answering your question briefly: Agroecology is basically doing agriculture imitating nature, i.e. growing edible plants and mushrooms as part of an ecosystem (in this case, agricultural ecosystem). It is a bit different than permaculture, organic growing, and so on, since the scope here is to imitate ecosystems by growing edible organisms and even some other non edible ones like trees and shrubs used as wind breakers as well as for wood, building materials, oil extraction, shade and birds shelter.
In my website I'll explain all this in more detail since it is important to me to let other people know about it, especially now that we have so much trouble on a global scale due to climate "change" (I consider it a crisis, not just change), I'll write about this as well in my site.
From Ecology classes we know ecosystems have three different types of living organisms: Producers, Consumers and Degraders (breakdowners). We also know that in stable ecosystems the three types are in balance. Well, Agroecology tries to grow different kinds of useful plants and other organisms while maintaining a balance. In this case, Producers are the plants, Consumers are us and domestic and wild animals, and Degraders are soil organisms. Of course any products obtained by means of chemical synthesis are totally banned.
I hope this gives you a first glance about what Agroecology is, and if you want to learn more on the subject, I invite you to eventually browse my site once you solve the issue with your computers.

Best regards from Mexico.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Thank you so much Kyle, I am familiar with "niche" and what it means in Ecology, construction, and so on. I took some time to select my first niche following an ancient oriental proverb that suggests that: "Important things should be meditated about for three days before taking action". Since I consider my new activity within Wealthy Affiliates very important, I followed that advice.
I have a question though: Is there a way (theme) to have a bilingual website?
Thanks in advance for your time and helpful advice.
With my best Mexican regards.
Eugenio.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

I would suggest you create your website focusing on just ONE language. When you try to translate your content (translators do a horrible job of this as they are far too literal), you take away from the overall site quality.

When you create an "additional" website, you create double the work for yourself without knowing if the campaign is going to be successful or not.

Both of these will lead to much more work and a lot less focus. Focus on one language or the other when starting out Eugenio, once you are successful with one you could diversify down the road and build out a second website and create a translated version of your website for an additional revenue stream.

Thank you for the advice Kyle.
I'll stick to one language to begin with in my website.
My best regards to you.

Welcome to WA - lots to learn here- stay focused - go through the Certification Courses first - you will get confused or frustrated from time to time - ask lots of questions - people are here to help you.

HERE ARE 3 WA'ers Training Posts - they helped me - one is vocabulary you use here - one is a detailed use of your dashboard to find anything you will need - one is a plug-in to add to WordPress - that will help you build your sties. Hope they help - they did me This one I wrote - deals with how to "close" for the result you want. Stay with it - you don't need a wish of good luck - you need a plea to study the material and stay at it no matter what - it will change your life and hopefully the people you touch with your message.

Thank you for your welcome message.
I'll stay in touch. Best Mexican regarde to you.

Hola Oscar:

Hey Eugenio. Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate!

My name is Chris and I'm the owner of http://BenjisDad.com. You signed up through me and I thought I'd tell you a little about myself. I joined Wealthy Affiliate back in late 2015, which wasn't all that long ago. I honestly did not take it seriously at first and wasted a lot of time. Around 2016, when my son was born and my wife quit her job, I decided to look a little more into the whole internet marketing thing.

I was looking to learn how to supplement my income and replace my wife's income through Internet Marketing and what I've found was so much more.

By 2017, I was earning a full-time income from one website. These days, my income comes from my ventures online. In fact, my wife is looking to get into the fun as well with http://BenjisMom.com so stay tuned.

Anyways, Internet Marketing and Wealthy Affiliate have provided us with amazing opportunities (we've bought a house, get to travel a lot more, and best of all, taking care of our precious son) and I'm incredibly thankful for the training, tools, and support here that made it all possible. :)

I'd love for you to see the same level of success. So, if you ever have any questions or need a hand with anything, do not hesitate to get in touch with me. I am here to help!

To get started, you should add a short description and upload a picture. Wealthy Affiliate is a community and having a profile and a picture will really help get you acquainted here.

Anyways, thought I would just introduce myself. If there's anything I can do for you Eugenio, just let me know!

Cheers!

Chris

Your message cheers me up! I've also been trying some "money making opportunities" through the net just as you did, and they ended being scam. I don't want to keep giving away hardly earned money to scammers. I'll do my best with this new try.
I'm looking forward to read your 10 Hottest Business Ideas for 2017.
