Six ethics of life......Food for thought
I think many of you may have seen this already but if you haven't, I hope you find it helpful. I just couldn't resist sharing it here since we all need some inspiration from time to time. I know I do!
All these apply to our lives in immeasurable ways but I have one question;
Do you think we're making enough effort to live up to these standards?

Good one Ade and thanks for that. You know, just looking at those first five standards of living, It hit me that these were what both my, and the parents of others, taught us and by golly we did. That was the way we were brought up. In this day and age unfortunately things are brought down to suit the lowest common denominator. No one strives anymore to keep standards up. Very sad!
Nice to see you here, Simon! Good observation! Nowadays, parents hardly have the time to teach their kids any values let alone others'. It is sad that many children are basically raising themselves, these days.
Thank you, friend!
Ade, I am always delighted when you pass by and I like to stop and have a chat. How are you going these days, are you at a stage where you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I wish I could say that but I'm a bit of an old 'slow coach' but I keep going.
Yes I need to write a blog or two as I am slowly slipping up the ladder but its not important really. Now you take care of yourself and stay well and do drop by again sometime. Bless you my friend, Cheers, Simon
Ah Simon, even the slightest glimpse of light is a ray of hope for me. The old 'slow coach' is moving and that is a good thing. I bet there is a 'slow coach' in each one of us. I need some oil in my engine. Lol
Have a good one!
Hi - no I don't believe we do all live up to these standards - if we did, the world would be a far better place for everyone living on it.
However, we can't change the world easily - but we can make changes in our own outlook, and in turn affect those around us (ripple/butterfly effect of whatever it may be termed) - which I think most of the standards listed are suggesting.
The last one is so important - would you look back on your life and say "If only I'd..." - that would be so sad to live your life, and have regrets.
I read somewhere, "I want to skid into my grave sideways shouting 'What a ride that was!'" - maybe not exactly that, but along those lines. Life is for living - not existing.
All the best, Mark
True, Mark! Once we die, there is no do over. So we might as well make the best of our lives while we can.
Thanks for your insights.
Well Ade, if for each good deed we are rewarded with ten folds, I think it is not only our making that matters but most of all the attributes of The Most Giving. So improve our relationship with The Most Giving to live up to better standards.

Living up to the better standards is doable. Making one improvement at a time will eventually get us where we need to be, God willing.
Thank you, Norliela!
