I need help in writing a list

Last Update: April 22, 2014

I will write list of 18 (restaurants, shops, trips etc) and would like to add more info about each with thumbnail pictures (3-4) for each, but would like to make a list first and if clicked on each to lead you(or open) more about it, so that person doesn't need to scroll down for more info. I also don't know how to add thumbnail pictures in everything on the list.

I am making leaflet with offer of 10% off and would like to have page with more info on each offer.

To know what I am talking about here is my site

http://adriaticadventure.com/

I don't know how to do it and couldn't find it anywhere.

For example many forums, help, Q&A etc.have that.

I hope I have explained it so it's understandable.

Thanks!

Cheers!

I sorted out my issue with Short code plugin(used accordion) and Business Directory plugin. Please check it out, each place have better explanation when clicked here:

Hi, It sounds like you could consider using a Business Directory plugin. That way you can create a directory of the resources, assign thumbnail images etc. PM me if you need more advice on what ones to use. Otherwise, yes, there are some good options below.

You can create a PDF for each "thing". Then you can include the PDF just like you would when you add a picture. It will allow you to create a linkable list without visitors having to scroll down the page. It will also allow you to have a full page "flyer" on each thing.

If that's not what you're after, I used the plug in "gallery link URL" in one of my shopping sites and love it. You create a thumbnail gallery and the plug in allows each photo to link to another page. Can you create a "page" on your website on each thing but not include the pages in your menu, just link the pictures to them?

hope these two suggestions help...

I installed a plugin today called collaps-o-matic. It's very easy once you watch this videoat the bottom of this page http://htwp2.com/how-to-expand-collapse-wordpress-posts-using-jquery-slidetoggle/

I'm very interested in learning more about accordian tabs. How is this different than the "accordian" option in WP Edit? (I watched the video and don't see a difference so obviously I missed it)
Thanks so much!

You can also use columns or a table, both are available from within WP Edit https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-edit/ :) Rich.

I'd recommend Spider FAQ. http://wordpress.org/plugins/spider-faq/ :) Rich.

I would be able to use it for a list, not only FAQ?

If you think about it, that's exactly what FAQ's are, a list of questions with drop down answers. You don't have to call them FAQs. :) Rich.

There's an example of Spider FAQ being used here: http://learn.wpeditpro.com/wp-edit-buttons-guide/ :) Rich.

and think that could be it. What do you think?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Is it that you want just pictures of each topic to show on your front page? And then if people click the picture, it will lead to a page with all the info on that subject?

Because if thats what you mean?

No, first is the list, then explanation with lot of scrolling down which I want to avoid.
