Winter is arriving
I don't really have a preference i.t.o. season - I like them all and look forward to when they are going to change.
Our local radio this morning asked the question - "when do you know winter is arriving" - and the type of answers were:
- when I don't have to wear my sunglasses going home from work
- when the sun sets at 6pm (summer here in Cape Town, we sometimes have sunset after 8pm)
- when I go to and from work in the dark
- when drying laundry is a challenge because of the rains
For me, it is cosying up with blankets and fire in front of the TV with roasted marshmallows. But what I mostly look forward to about winter is ... getting rid of these buggers.

LOL, Yes, those damn mosquitos. Your title caught my attention because of course here in Hong Kong we are not thinking of winter but of summer coming and the hot days and nights and the humidity and yes, the mosquitos.
Thanks
Wayne
Yeah, I forgot that more than half on here at WA are heading into summer - so maybe then just a gentle reminder of what to put on your next shopping list ... repelent
Really? I have never experienced snow in my life, but I would love to ... so can't really compare
I enjoy having 4 seasons every calendar year. There is beauty in all seasons. In NYC, summer is approaching now, our winter is in the rear view mirror.
Yes, it is the opposite right .... I am looking forward to winter this year ... we need the rain desperately
For me winter is when there is snow outside and cold...and also when I go to and from work in the dark...but now it is spring outside and soon will be summer. In the end of june sun will set at 11 pm or later...
