Hi everyone. I am Ssemanda Bosco (BScN,KRCHN,URN), a nurse by profession. I love seeing man thrive as an individual whole. I therefore seek ways on how to suppress barriers to human physical, mental, social and spiritual success. When a fellow man overcomes an obstacle and I see them regain their joy, I truly feel happy.
My foremost hobby is writing;poetry or prose-any word that I perceive can brighten someone's moment. If my presence here can add value to anyone, I will be so glad.
I love simplicity and nature, but why?
I grew up in rural Uganda. When I describe how life was-well, you may say it was harsh but not so in my perspective. We walked barefoot. A long unfitting, seldom dirty T-shirt was my daily garment. I had a good number of friends and this is what mattered most-friendship. And Love. The birds flew and we chased them, the butterfly was our friend. we would play in the rain and play with the mud. We would pick mangoes and guavas and papayas, each fruit in its season. Nature supported us. The poor food we ate, the leaking roofs under which we slept-all never mattered to us. Just a few mosquito bites to disturb our sleep but the sweetest memory of childhood were my friends. I still love them. I don't want to say poverty is cool-not at all. Yes, I love simplicity but we also suffered many sorrows because of poverty. By the way I narrowly missed out on school till one day....well some NGO that was giving education opportunities to children from poor homes and orphans. There I was, having the full qualifications, and that's how I managed to get a university degree. But my generation, my neighborhood still suffers. My dream is to deliver them from their state of lack. I have a dream of starting an organization that sponsors needy children to acquire education, just like I was helped. My salary alone can't help me achieve it so I always think of new ways. Joining Wealthy Affiliate was one of them.
May you would want to know how I learned writing. It was the girl I loved at 16. But failed to tell her till I was 18, because I could come short of words and sweat whenever I met her face to face. Haha. Then I decided to write her a letter. She replied positively and there we were, happily in love. The words we exchanged taught me that good words can heal...and stimulate joy...and beautify life. Ooops! M is now married with 2 kids to another man, but she taught me the value of beautiful words. Thank you for reading my profile. How I wish that you will be successful here at WA. I will be glad to give you a helping hand when you need me. All the best my friend.
