How do we ad affiliate banners in to the widgets side bar? I was looking at the widgets tab in word press and didn't see anything there that prompted me or that i could follow.
Use your text widget and put in the html code for the banner you want. Then drag and drop to the sidebar area and save it. It's all done.

Am trying to insert banners WA banners into my About me page. How do I go about it? Should i just paste the html code into the page and the banner will show up when it's publis
As long as you are in draft node it will show up as code, once you publish it will show as a picture. Hope this helps you. John D.
Banners work best on a text widget which is usually place on your six at top or bottom of the site with an affiliate link within the post. I don't think the visual editor will work with the html coding.
Paste the code in the text editor not the visual editor and then when you publish it will be there.
