The monitoring lights that says your website is protected that used to be green are totally grey and no longer functioning.

Is it just me ??

Cool changes...
Ed

Yes, there are great changes, if you press details you will see a lot, even your plugins are there now! This is very good and I must check this often because sometimes I forget to deactivate a plugin which I use just for doing a small job.

Thanks Dorina. I've been out for a few months in the WA due to changed in circumstances. :)

This change was made yesterday! It's new!

Same thing on my websites

liked this, that means it's no longer protected.

I wonder how attractive the ads that pop up in your pages and posts.

They rejected my site for Adsense couple of months back.Did not reapply.
Still considering whether I should or not.
Cheers

Oh no what's the reason behind? Don't worry to answer that.. Some people don't really recommend it. But for me, I'm happy to see that there's something live in my page/posts while navigating around. Thanks Roops.

I don't have Adsense.

You don't need an Adsense if you're getting a lot of sales in affiliate marketing:) thanks for the comments Kabayan.

Kaso wala din.

Darating din yan.:)

I have stopped using adsense as often there ads had nothing to do with my niche

Good for you Katie. Assuming your website is for bridal, then they advertise a holiday destination for honeymoon, it's not that bad :))

would not mind if it was that often it was products for wrinkles lol hardly the stuff new brides want to know about yet

Jay doesn't seem to think very much of Google AdSense... I am not to that point yet, but I am not worried about it any longer. I don't know if it is beneficial or not, I guess it depends on every different website and your goals.

Yes, nothing that much really. Thanks RaeAnne.

I watched Jay's webinar today and he said to remove the Adsense if you're not making $50.00/day.

I missed that, I tuned in late:) Well, for an expert marketer maybe, but for the learner even below $50 a day is fantastic if you're in BootCamp, rather than waiting for the sign up. Thanks Al.

Yes, I am getting ads from other sites I have looked at this week. My site viewers will see something different.

We don't hold any control over what they want the viewers to see on our site. Thanks Ventures2000.

Everyone sees different Adsense ads. Google remembers your browsing and search history and serves up ads it thinks you will be interested in.

Hmm, that's possible. But I never had any past browsing interest based on those pictures though. Thanks Marion.

Adsense also looks at the content of the post/page and finds ads related to that content. Again, it's serving up ads it thinks the reader would be interested in.

Thanks for more clarification Marion.

My thoughts on Google Adsense are 1. Unless you have a ton of traffic, it is not worth having on your site; and 2. The clicks pay so little that it is not worth driving traffic away from your site.

From what I have read, Google Adsense does not add any SEO value to your site from Google either.

Some of the ads are terrible looking and I click off of websites that show them because they are just gross.

Your widget space is better used to drive traffic to your affiliate promotions and products.

I am planning on removing it from my website, but you may want to wait to hear from others before you make a decision.

That is my 2 cents...

~Gina

You're absolutely right about that. Sometimes I don't really understand, there are times that I have just a little page view + ad click, converts pretty good. Whilst some other time more pages view converts nothing.

I'll just wait until I made it to a certain amount. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Gina.

I think depending on your niche you can use image editors to create your own ads by creating images and then just linking them to affiliate products that you are promoting.

If you have a niche where the affiliate products are low cost then it's nice to have the Adsense as well with affiliate products to increase possible earnings.

Hope this helps, best of luck to you

Thanks Jack. I'm in BootCamp, I'll say making money online as my niche. Take a look what keeps on popping up.

Any chance they are delivering those ads based off some of your other site viewing history

Hello WA Community,

Just curious if we can reset the revision browse to zero if your post or page is already final?

I know the benefits to have a revision record,

Yes. What Katie said.

Thanks Geoff, it's in my inbox as well. :)

pj did a great bit of advice the other day, I tried it out and worked great

Ah that's what is all about. I still have that in my inbox untouch. Thanks Katie.

yeah lol it is good and easy to do

so it's additional plugin, after you clean up just deactivate again:)

yeah I have deactivated mine and deleted it is as well when I need it will go back and get it

Very good idea. If the plugin was deactivated, but not deleted totally does it count in a plugin percent usage?

not sure but it did save me space cannot remember how much now should have wrote it down :(

Just view in your site health. Thanks Katie and have lovely evening. Oopps I thought it's stormy tonight though.

it is a bit on the stormy side hopefully it will pass

Good question which I am also curious in knowing the answer. My suspicion is that you must delete each one, one at a time. I could be wrong. Thank you for posting your question.
Ken

Thanks for the comments Ken. The thing is every time you update, even though you didn't change anything it adds up. I wonder if it's consuming the data space.

PJ has a training lesson this. I just found it. It is a plugin that you add to your site that automatically deletes unnecessary files. I just added it to my website, and set pages according to how PJ did his. BOOM! the plugin is here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/rvg-optimize-databas...
PJ training blog is here: I hope this helps
Ken

Hi Ken,
The answer is under my nose, its in my inbox Lol!

Anyone using the free traffic offered by sumoMe? How reliable and productive is the service? Any hidden costs and upsells

I've heard of 2 people who crashed their sites using sumome.
Ed

Oh my. Thanks Ed.

Thanks for the info Pio. I'm going to check it out.

Eric

Thanks Eric. Please let me know how it goes. :)

I haven't tried that one.
Marilyn

Me too. Let's investigate first.:)

Your header brought this to my attention. Thanks! I am going to go check it out.

Another possibility is the site StumbleUpon. There platform offers paid "advertising" but it can be highly targeted to folks that will have a real interest in your area.

That's another great source. Thanks for sharing.

Lots of great features. You'll love it.
Barry

Thanks Barry.

Thanks for reminding me to look at Sumome, I saw PJs post but haven't acted yet.

I think it's time to dig in a little bit with this sumoMe plugin to see all the benefits they've offered. :)

Jason and PJ have done tutorials on this so they may be able to help here is a post to Jason might help answer your questions I have not set mine up as yet

How on earth I missed it. Thanks Katie for the link. :)

there is so much easy to miss something and he might not be in your network if not well worth a follow

They're in my network. Maybe that time I am not aware of sumoMe yet.

perhaps also PJgermain did some great training on it to
