I'd backup the entire website using FTP How to Back Up Your Website With FileZilla via FTP and also use WordPress import/export to back up the entire content (except media) to be sure. ~Marion
It's not easy because you don't have access to the database either with FTP or import/export. And the backup plugins can't be used on a host with no external connections. At least using FTP to download to your computer you'll be able to check which plugins and themes you've got installed. And you'll have all your images where you can find them.
Thanks for the info
We have a major hosting package elsewhere, so just consolidating sites here that are not used much.
Hosting isn't exactly free, you pay $47usd for the monthly access, if you are not using the training, you are basically paying $47 per month in hosting fees
Our host is saying they can not move the site without control panel and PHPmyadmin access
Anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks again
You are right, that hosting is not for free, if you are not using the tools and training here on WA.
I personally think that the training and tools are worth the price already.
You could go yearly to get another account, but since you don't seem to want to use the WA tools and training anymore, I can totally understand that you would want to get cheaper hosting somewhere else.
Sorry, that I can't help you with the cpanel access.
I think you will have to contact the site support for that, but my guess is that they will tell you the same.
Cheers
Moritz
Hi,
there is no cpanel, as far as I know.
FTP access should be enough for the move, though.
They can save all the files via FTP and upload them on their servers.
It's not really my business, but why would you want to move your hosting elsewhere?
Hosting is free for premium members.

I would ask WA Hosting support what the options are in your situation. There may be an alternative.
WA Hosting moves sites here via FTP all the time and I'm guessing that they would probably think that if the other hosting company really wanted your business, they can do the same the other way around.
I don't think it is about trying to lock you into hosting here...lol, though I can understand why you would feel that way right now. ~Jude

Hoping someone in the WA community has experience or knowledge in the how-to-get Amazon Book Reviews.
Book is published and live on Amazon, among others - But struggling
Hi @Fearlessmoti, I am learning more about how to do this as I will be publishing a non-fiction book. If you're still active on WA, I'd be happy to partner with reading / exchanging Amazon reviews.
I have read some article about a company selling fake reviews. Maybe if you google it you find it.
How about you give your book to some people for free and ask a review in return?
No none of us are in the publishing business. You should go to a publishing community for that
So you've surveyed the thousands of members here who are building sites for their niches, and none of them have published books...

Interested to know how much the top WA members (not founders) are making using the principles learned here?
Think a fair question given we are all here for much the same reas
This is a very hard question to answer. I do this full time myself and I am making a living.
Check this thread out Post your success stories here!
Thanks Shawn, but it seems no one has offered anything on that thread.
Would be very interested to know the highest earners on here
The members who qualify to go to Vegas are likely the top earners. Every year blogs are written about it by the people who qualify. Many of them don't interact all that much because they are busy building their businesses.
