Be Aware Of WA Spammers!
Now, I am a fair man but I am also a firm man and I don't take shite from no-one. Being raised in the school of hard knocks has taught me to read people very well and I will tell you how I see it....you can either be transparent in life and be genuine to yourself and others, or you can lie to yourself and the world and live a fake life like all the other spammers. Either way, it doesn't matter where you're from....there's all kinds of different snakes in the grass!....
Success in anything in life is never easy and I have busted my ass to be where I am today, and the last thing I expected was to have a fellow Wealthy Affiliate member use me to get to my followers to spam his own affiliate links!
NOT VERY COOL DUDE! - Bad for business...bad for me...bad for you....and bad for Wealthy Affiliate!
If you want to promote your Wealthy Affiliate site...GO PREMIUM AND DO IT ON YOUR OWN STEAM and not by the hard earned efforts of other Wealthy Affiliates!
Hey...I've climbed enough mountains in my life to know that shit happens...but I thought I'd put that out there for all genuine Wealthy Affiliate members to read...plus it saves me buying a first class ticket to Korea to rip his head off and make a YouTube video of it - Gangnam Style! - with MY OWN Wealthy Affiliate link on it!...hmmmm come to think of it...
Don't do it again!

hi Everisingsun I totally understand where you are coming from, its happened to me in the past and it goes to show what they are like, and as you say we can weed them out by sticking together, thanks for the post. Garry
I guess in some way or another we will all get a bite from someone trying to gain leverage and profit from our own hard efforts to make it online. Wordpress is like a haven to spammers in your comments if you let them....so protect your sites with vigilance...after all they are the assets of our future!
I know thanks so much for sharing, you do feel this is a great plus safe learning community. But like everything else in the world we are reminded that there are still those who believe in abusing other people for selfish gain.. those of us who are for the greater good and cause must stick together thanks again
Hey Jasmine, I think you have the right attitude...99.99% of Wealthy Affiliate members here are genuine people striving to make a difference in thier lives, and sharing the positive energy and knowledge to help other WA members do the same.
Weeding out the 0.1% can only be done as a community to make us all aware. Sticking together and making it known to us all gets it out there to Kyle and Carson. Apparently they have specially made boots for that! :)
Hey Lorrie, thanks for taking it on board...it's all about being aware so it doesn't happen to the wider WA communty.
This is quite disturbing Everisingsun. Kinda puts a bad taste in the mouth. WA is such an amazing place to learn. I guess its reality that we have to deal with here. Not all people have transparent intentions but I appreciate this blog so much because it reminds me that we have to be vigilant for the good of all of us. Thanks so much for this post.
Hi Guilia, to be honest... I felt a bit taken back myself and I wasn't going to write a blog about it, but it does happen everywhere on the internet and I'd hate for it be a common factor here in WA so we all need to be aware and put it out there if it occurs. Wealthy Affiliate is a fantastic place for all to learn how to run a legitimate business online, and I am proud to be an advocate for Wealthy Affiliate and I intend to be here for a very long time.
It's too bad, you feel all warm and fuzzy here at WA, like you're in a safe community, and then some jerk shows up, there's always one, and tries to ruin it. I'm glad to see that WA takes this stuff seriously, and Carson boots this little slimeball back to where he slithered out from.
.
I think alot of people are blinded at making money on the internet at all cost and forget about integrity and respecting each other. Kyle and Carson run a pretty tight ship here, sometimes there are those who ignore the policies of WA(and common sense) but eventually....you reap what you sow...
An open forum as WA is will not be exempt from activities like this. Some things I give thumbs up for are the facts that
1) This community has eyes like a hawk. These things usually don't persist very long.
2) When found, remedy comes swiftly
3) Changes to discourage future incidents are quickly implemented.
WA, by no means is perfect. No place is. However, WA stands to be one of the safest places to be on the Internet for a community of this sort. It's clean. That's one of the most important things about WA to me. It is family-friendly.
I can't begin to tell you all how sad it makes me to hear this. I guess there are people with little moral sense everywhere. Here at least something is being done about it. Thanks all.
It saddened me as well Patricia. I think WA is an awesome place for all to learn how to run a legitimate business online, we don't need to promote over each other, the internet is such a huge place to promote business. I think all we need to do is respect each other and help and support each other to success. That is the Wealthy Affiliate spirit!
@Neoglitch - Now that's just a nicer PC way of putting what you really meant before Neo... you could have at least put @RICH affiliate link with it to top it off! :)
If someone is spamming here at WA, then Kyle and I need to know WHO this user is so that we can delete their membership and block their access. Please send me a private message and I will have this user blocked immediately.
Thank you for blogging about this to let us know. Send me a private message by visiting my WA Profile and clicking the "Private Message" button. Let me know who sent the spam email and I'll take care of the rest ;)
I'm sorry Carson. What I meant to say is:
I don't know who would be the spammer that EverisingSun is talking about, but there is a member (username: kenhou) that seems to be spamming irrelevant content on his WA blog just for the sake of getting backlinks.
Please Carson, blast kenhou back to China if necessary :D
This user has been removed and will no longer be accessing Wealthy Affiliate. We will prevent them from signing up another account too, but if we see them back (or anyone else), please let me know.
I will never understand how there's people out there who actually think they can earn good money by spamming affiliate links. If anything, they earn a really crappy reputation. Heck, even if blasting spam comments and emails through the whole Internet gave you some earnings... I still can't wrap my head around how those losers manage to sleep at night.
It's a shame that the product they spam may also get a bad reputation in some circles because of their damn spamming... even if the product is good, like WA. It's not fair D:<
hahaha...you're a funny man Neoglitch....actually it wasn't him but it shows that there are WA wannbe's in the mix of good genuine people making an honest business online through the help of Wealthy Affiliate...might be time to burn the tall grass to get the snakes out huh....
oops, I was talking about a different spammer altogether :P
Eeyup, some people think they can take advantage of this place, but it's good to know that they soon burn as the snakes they are. This reminded me of the guy posting an ad on Clicksia (or something...), instructing zombies to sign up for WA and set up their account for like 25 cents.
And you think I'm funny? Man... I should introduce you to @RICH, the dark princess :D
Lately I've been seeing links at the very bottom of blog posts (two yesterday) linking back to blog owner's sites. They were hyper-linked one-liners (names of the sites.) Both of these unique instances were not affiliate links, is this acceptable? Not trying to cause trouble, just curious about it. If there is nothing amiss with this, my biggest apology for bringing it up and/or off-topic. I forever hold my peace about it here on.
I think site *signatures* are a difficult one, Daniel. I personally don't object per se, but I guess it's an all-or-nothing proposition as I've seen some in the past that have led to outright promos, especially of that worthless pyramid blogging scam, Empower Network. I guess own site links should stay in profiles, and even there I've seen ones that don't exactly fill me with confidence. :( R. x
It is borderline. I don't do it myself, thinking it to be somewhat unethical, but to each their own on it. I was leery about posting that reply. At least, within profiles, they are permitted, straight links, that is.
You shouldn't be "leery" about raising the issue, Daniel. It affects us all. I've stopped posting even the win-win ones such as Droplr and Dropbox, simply because I don't feel anyone else should have to worry about verifying my behaviour and policing my links. It's not possible for someone to check them 24/7-365 and Kyle and Carson have better things to do than *adjudicate* on such matters anyway. I now won't post anything that can have even a perceived benefit to myself and to me that would include a site signature. R. x
You are right about that Rich. I never put anything in my content that would even remotely be seen as something from which I gain any benefits. I have and will link to something that is beneficial to members in here and is relevant to what I'm blogging about. These would be the most general of places. I feel it's better safe than sorry so I leave those out.
I'm not the most prudent person in here, but one thing is for sure, when I do put something of interest up (a link) it is never for personal gain, and I think this is how the vast majority in here think and act. What happened above is pretty low down and I'm glad to see Carson handled it so swiftly.
The only times I will link to my websites from here is if it is called for in the training and topics for discussion, as they sometimes are.

If one way of beating the system gets plugged, you can be sure another hole will be found somewhere else.
No doubt Daniel, so the more eyes and ears, the better the internet will be for everyone. But even though you may see it happen or hear of it, nothing will get done if there is no action towards it
