My skills don't exist. I GIVE UP

i WAS doing fine then it comes to the images (which I KNOW are important) and I simply can't figure it out. I need someone with computer knowledge to take me by the hand, otherwise, there's no use. I don't like giving up, but I don't know what to do. I'm COMPLETLY STUCK. I checked out some of the "free image sites" and a lot of them charge for their use. (I can't at this point afford that). I have NO idea how to get a picture from my phone onto the computer to start with and not much of how to get something from the sites into ky sites.

At any rate, gonna stop for now and go "chew" on things for while and PRAY I get some help from somewhere.

Hi Grandma :) take easy! you have many members to help you.

Here is the link to one member's tutorial: He has visual step-by-step so you can follow. He also shares a few websites that he usually takes the pictures.

Esther, don't worry about free image sites. WA offers tons of free images for our use within the Site Content tool. You don't have to buy any stock images. if you want to get an image from your phone, then email that image to yourself from your phone. Open up your email and download the image and save it to someplace you will know where to look for it. Then you can add it to your posts or blogs from within Site content tool or from WordPress' own editor.

I don't see ANY images on site content. Where are they located?

Choose Websites from the left menu. Then Site Content. Open a new document.
Choose the image icon in the editor menu an search for an image subject, choose an image and crop to the size you want and then insert.

I know how you feel but the solution is really easy. Just use the images on Site Content. All images on Site Content are free and legal for us to use.

Either write you posts in Site content and add them there or if you write your posts directly in Wordpress or elsewhere, you can still get images from Site Content to use. Open Site Content and start a new blank document. You don't even need to give it a title. Then click the image icon, search for the image you want, click "Save and Insert" at the bottom of the dialog box. Then right click on the image and click "Save Image As". Save it to your computer or wherever you want. Then import it to your post.

I hope that helps!

I'm ready to give up most of the time, but then I go back through my training and it starts to make sense. We all process information differently and at different levels. If you don't get it at first just keep going and tell yourself "I can do this." A lot of people on here has been here for a long time and some know more about the technical side of things, and they will help you, just reach out to them. I would say me too, but I get lost in the technical side of things.

For now, if you create your content in Site Content, images are included, and searchable. There are over a million of them. Just click on the image icon with your cursor placed where you want it and voila, an image is there. it is easy to resize as well, just click a corner and drag.

Hey Esther: I know it seems overwhelming at times. I too have just taken a break and what a difference it has made. I was going to cancel my account but decided I have put too much effort into this to just let it go. Walk away then come back in a couple of days. It will look better. I have yet to see anything I have asked here not get a great answer. I am sure there is someone that will be more qualified than me to get you through this. Hugs

Never give up - nothing is insurmountable.
Firstly if you have pictures on your phone that you want to use, email them to yourself and then you can download them onto your PC.
Then you can go to image sites like Pixabay and Pexels ( search WA for images in the search bar and you will find blog posts about various sites) where you will find tons of images you can use royalty free.

Hope that helps

Hey I will be glad to help you you can private message me at
Any time I am in Chattanooga TN. Which is in Eastern time zone. I can easily teach what you need to know about pictures. So perk up. And many others would as well
Many Blessings
Scarlett

Hi Esther- My suggestion is you go to Pexels.com as there are 1000's of free images there. type your subject in the search bar and you will see some great photos, Choose 1 by 1 the ones you like and download them.
Ok, now they are on your computer in downloads.
When you are writing an article and you want to add an image to your work. Click add media then upload the file, then choose your photo and click ok. /the file will come down into your media. Then click insert and you will see it in your post. If it is too big, just click on it and in the corners of the photos you can resize it to how to like it
I hope this helps and please don't give up
You can do this :)
Vicki

Hi Esther. I use Pixabay a lot. You can log in with your Gmail and search for whatever you need and download in any size you want. Just be careful of the upper line on the result page as it features shutterstock images which you have to pay for. Considering you have a smartphone, to get a picture from your phone to computer: either send it to your email via your phone and then download it via desktop or connect your charger to your computer and copy to your desktop. Not sure if I managed to help you at all. Let me know if you have any more questions.
