It's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! In today's quick tutorial I'll show you how to use preset (but fully customizable) patterns within your block editor to create LANDING PAGES for your content!

When I first got my start, creating a landing page was basically impossible with the Classic Editor unless you had either a knowledge of HTML coding or a subscription to expensive Landing Page Creator services. Now with the block editor, you are only limited by your own imagination! Let me show you how easy it is to use these preset patterns as a framework for your landing page that you can completely customize and make your own!

As always, please feel free to share this video to anyone needing help with this. If you have any Wordpress related questions that you'd like to see me create a tutorial around feel free to send me a private message or leave me a message on my profile.

If you want to check out all my Wordpress Wisdom tutorials you can go to the WA smart search up top (magnifying glass) and type in "Wordpress Wisdom" or just head over to my blog.

Hi Eric,

There couldn't be a better time for this video. For the past two days, I've been thinking about creating a Landing Page for the new website, but something was holding me back. I stuck with the old idea and forgot about the efficiency of the Block Editor.

Do you recommend setting the Landing Page to NOINDEX when created to collect emails? I have read so many opinions that I am already confused. Thank you!

Greetings,
Diana.

Most pages are set to no index just because your intention isn’t really to have people find them from a google search like with posts. Pages are meant to be found once on the website and aren’t optimized for SEO. Also, your target audience for your mailing list might be very specific, so for conversions you may want to keep that controlled.

I understand now. Thank you very much for the answer. I just checked and noticed that depending on the chosen theme, my pages appear as indexed.
Including Affiliate Disclosure, Privacy Policy, and 404 Error Page.

In this case, can I check NOINDEX, without affecting anything else?

Thank you!

Choosing Index or No Index just changes that one feature, it doesn't affect other things on the page. 👍🏼

Perfect. Thank you. Have a nice day!

This is certainly the best and quickest way to create a cool landing page Eric!

Appreciated as always my friend!!

It's so cool what can be accomplished using the block editor! Very easy to set up a landing page.
Thanks, Eric!

Could I look this training up under you Eric to look back on it again?

Just click on the star at the top of this page to save it as a favorite, then when you want to access it again, click on the magnifying glass and then favorites my friend!

Eric
This was great. You answered a lot of questions for me on the setup of landing pages and pages in general.
Thanks so much
Dan

Glad to help, Dan!

I love playing with the block editor in creating a landing page. I've done a few of them. See you in tomorrow night's class. Ready for those shots, LOL! 😀
