Turning it Around - and a bit about Bikes and Comments
Hi lovely WA friends
My boys fell off their bikes yesterday, both at the same time and it looked bad.
There was a lot of blood and tears and just me and them. We were a long way from help.
It was horrible for them and pretty scary for me trying hold it all together.
This story taught me something about turning it around here at WA.
Three separate groups of people eventually helped us back to our car and we made it home and treated ourselves to an afternoon of treats and cuddles.
We turned it around
At the back of my mind, had been Lisa's post about losing her job and finding the silver lining.
Our exciting morning of bike riding had been ruined but there had to be a way to turn it around. Now my boys see the time that they fell off their bikes as the time we had treats and a cuddly afternoon together.
When I finally got back to my computer, I saw a lovely comment from a WA member through comment requests on a post I'd written the day before about my on off journey with WA, rightly suggesting that I'd learnt many lessons along the way. Thank you for your comment :)
I replied to the comment with tips about what I'd learnt and felt great about the lessons I'd learnt along the way (see also commenting with intent). I'd turned it around.
With a positive attitude and a little help from others, we can always turn things around, get back on our bikes and keep going.
Have a wonderful day everyone,
Emma x

Hi Emma
Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m sure it was unpleasant when the accident happened but it sounds like you made the best of it afterwards.
Problems will always occur and it makes a difference when we learn how to react in a positive way and learn from them, rather than dwell on them
Cheers
Dave
Hi Emma.
It is so lovely to hear that although your heart must have been breaking inside for your boys when they fell off their bikes, that you were then able to spend some time cuddling them.
Enjoy your children when they are young. They are so precious.
My 2 boys are now all grown up and have their own lives so I now cherish every single second that I can when I see them. In fact, my oldest son and his wife came to visit this weekend, albeit, they use me as a sort of a hotel as they have friends here, but I am just so glad to see them.
Anyway, it is great that you got a lovely comment from someone here at Wealthy Affiliate. It kind makes you feel that they all care and are like an extended family in a way.
Have a great weekend.
Helen
Thank you Helen
It really was heartbreaking when they fell.
They've only just come off their stabilisers and they were going downhill with such excitement.
Anyway, they're all good now.
Time with family really is precious. I'm glad you got to see yours. Ha, I'm sure my boys will be using me as a hotel in the blink of an eye.

That's a fantastic analogy Emma.
I remember when my daughter was little she was a real tree climber.
One time we stayed at a camp ground and the nasty owner put barbed wire on the tree to stop her climbing it.
Next morning she was up the tree above the barbed wire. I asked her how she got past it and she replied , 'nothing will stop me daddy'.
I learnt a valuable lesson from her that day.
All the best. Jim
Haha, that's so awesome! Go your little girl. That attitude would have served her well growing up.
Children can teach us so much.
Thanks for sharing Jim
