Are you Happy ?
I had a strange conversation with a friend today . She called to catch up and we went blah blah ..... , exchanging updates on what we had been doing the past 2 months.
Then she went like
"Are you financially ok now ? "
Me: nope. getting there I am sure.
She: Then what are you still so happy about ? You seem to be enjoying yourself .
Me: Do you expect me to go around with stooped shoulders and sad face?
She: I just can't understand why you are in such situation and yet so joyful.
Me: I have God . :) (yay ....! )
She really got me thinking . Is it wrong to be happy ? Is it wrong to have fun even though you are not in the best financial situation ?
People have always commented that I look highly successful and happy , with no challenges in the world. I love to laugh and make a joke of everything .
When I tell them what I have gone through they cannot believe it.
You may be in the dumps now , maybe next month's rent is not in sight , but there is no reason to look it and live it like you have the whole world on your shoulders.

I totally agree, happiness is a choice.
Happiness is a state of mind. Am I focused on the blessings I do have, or on what I don't have? It is cold and blustry outside. I am in my humble home dry, warm, with a loving wife, and a good healthy food selection at my disposal. That makes me a rich man. I might want more, but I have sufficient for my need.

Good for you Ellise and continued to you.. If it was not for the relationship I have with God, I'd be so frustrated and depressed. So much in my life is not going the way I'd like, the way I'd hoped, the way I think they should but my faith in God preserves to allow His will and not mine to manifest, knowing He has the best in store for me.
I like this a lot. A favorite famous saying of mine is, "It is good to have an end to journey toward. But in the end, it will be the journey that mattered."
If we can't find joy and happiness in pursuit of your goals and dreams, something is very wrong in your world.
Oh I love that move so much. Also, it's good to be happy even when things are tough - worry gets nobody anywhere!
Church tells us that worry is sin , and we don't want to sin if we can help it right ? so why worry ? :)
Too right :) I learned today that the oppostite to worry is faith so if we're worrying then we're not walking in faith. I know which I prefer lol :)

You are right, happiness is a choice we make each day and no matter what the challenges would being miserable change anything, it is all a matter of what people consider as making you happy... just keep on doing what you are the rest comes along to
