As advised, it is a scam/spam.

Do not click any links within. Delete appropriately.

Abie

Will do, thanks!!

You are welcome, Emilio!

Abie

100% scam!

Delete them immediately and never click on the links in these emails!

Be aware and pay more attention to this kind of emails!

They never learned, always take a look on the sent from email address!

Contact Facebook for clarification.

Thank you so much!!

You're most welcome!

I used to get those all the time, I do believe it is a scam, please do not enter any personal information if you have followed the link. I followed it to see what it was all about, and you never go to a real Meta platform. Ignore it and report it, that is how I finally got the message to stop.
I hope this is helpful.

Stacie

Yes, tremendously helpful and certainly helped ease my concerns! Thanks!

Be careful with this, it sounds like scam. Facebook has a real problem with scammers that make fake accounts (that sounds like what your talking about) then they give you a link and its not a safe link. I have had that happen a lot. I would report it to facebook. :)

Thank you. As I was examining this more closely, I realized that the notice used the contact email from my Facebook page and not the email I use to log into Facebook, which is what email asks for to verify my account when I am logging into Meta Business. Thanks again for the heads up.

I am not sure how to contact Facebook but will look for the info on Facebook, thanks!

Your welcome, glad to help. I have had this happen to me a few times.

there should be an option to report the notification. I had to report it 3 or 4 times and I finally stopped getting them.

I got this in an email, so I don't see an option to report it. I will check Facebook support, though. Thanks!

Interesting, I always got mine in messenger. wonder if I will start getting new notifications now :/.

Same for me

Speaking of notifications

I know, right? Why wouldn't Facebook stop this nuisance?

To folks who are not aware, it can break for a bit.

Abie

Facebook is pretty bad for that. I've gotten so many messages from scammers. Not just for business but also for my personal account. So many fake accounts and bots.

I am just using the medium to do business; I do not socialize on any... However, I keep in touch via their Messenger app.

I appreciate your notes here, Jake!

Excellent, thanks! This helps me make more sense of things.

You are welcome, Emilio!

Abie

Well that may not be an issue at all, there are going to be certain pages that are no-index and those are usually "tags" on your website that you don't actually want to get indexed.

So this may not be an issue at all.

Hi Kyle, not sure what pages I wouldn't want indexed and how I can differentiate. It is showing a good number of pages but I am not sure I am reading the data correctly.

Hi, I have written about this on my blog, so here it is. For a new website, it does take some time to index; you can read some tips and what to do from my blog posts.

Look at the duplicate without the user's canonical URL. Sometimes, it doesn't mean you need to fix it.

And Brenda has you covered here as well, with some great content. At the end of the day, ALL of your posts/pages is indexable by default, some of the other content that you don't want indexed is "no index" which throws that alert in Google Console.

Brenda, thanks!! This is great info. I will delve into this and see if I actually have an issue and I will try fixing it. I may have to come back with more questions. Thanks again.

Sure, it's a great community here. Some of them you do not need to fix, and some you do so let us know how it goes.

Will do thanks again!

When you update the link, next to the add arrow there should be a gear-looking icon, tap on the gear icon and a display will open with the options you are looking for. Make sure you are editing in blocks mode for this as well.

Let me know if this is helpful.

Stacie

I wonder if that is what I am not doing, editing in blocks mode. How do I check for that and how do I set for editing in block mode?

When you open the post to edit, click on the first paragraph and the option to edit in blocks mode will pop up, youcan continue with classic or switch to blocks.

Hope this is helpful.

That worked! I had to switch to "edit in or show in blocks" or something like and then I found the "No Follow" option! Yay!

Brilliant, so you're good now?

Abie

Yes Abie, thank you so much for your help and quick response!! You guys are the BEST!!

I am superbly happy for you, Emilio!

Abie

The first 2 tool bars are from Kyle's video as he showed how to create the referral links (Numbered 1 and 2 on my screen shot). I had these when I first started creating my website and editing my pages. I don't see those anymore. The last tool bar is what I am now seeing (Numbered 3).

That screenshot doesn't tell me much.

What is your website's URL, please?

Thanks Catherine, I went back and found the "Open in New Tab" box, still looking for how to make it a "No Follow". I will look for the videos. Thanks!!

Have you clicked on the little down arrow to open up the options?

or the curved arrow, to open it up? then click the pencil icon

Thanks Digger12, I went back to it and yes I had missed the option to open in a new tab. However I still do not see the "No Follow" option. But thanks!!! Great help!

It should be right below the new tab.

Thanks Digger12, I found the curved arrow and found the Open in New Tab box! 😳 Still looking for how to set to "No Follow".
