Do You Have The Power Of The Mastermind? - TAGR Chapter X

Can you imagine that this chapter is only just over a short 6 pages long? Yet it exudes power. It;s premise is that POWER is essential in the accumulation of money.

Napoleon Hill defines this power as, "Organized and Intelligently Directed Knowledge!"

Not only is power necessary for the ACCUMULATION of money, but it is also required for the RETENTION of money!

Sources of Knowleege

There are 3 sources of knowledge:

1. Infinite Intelligence - acquired through creative imagination
2. Accumulated Experience - available in sources like Wealthy Affiliate
3. Experiment & Research - newly developed knowledge that didn't exist before

It is virtually impossible for any individual to accumulate knowledge required to achieve a specific goal by themselves. By collaborating with one or more other individuals who have knowledge they do not possess, is what generates this power.

The Importance Of The Mastermind

Chapter 10 states it this way:

No two minds ever come together without creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.

Anyone who has been extremely successful in accumulating money, or achieving goals that require money, they have either consciously or subconsciously employed the Mastermind Principle.

Examples Of The Power Of The Mastermind

Since this book was written in the first half of the last century, the examples may sound historic. Consider transposing these stories to individuals we know today who have become extremely successful and in the process accumulated great wealth.

Henry Ford was handicapped by poverty, illiteracy and ignorance. Yet he became one of the richest men in America in his time. He surrounded himself with people who had the knowledge he lacked to create his automobile manufacturing company.

Mahatma Gandhi accumulated stupendous power "through inducing over two hundred million people to coordinate, with mind and body, in a spirit of harmony, for a definite purpose." This action resulted in India gaining its Independence from Great Britain.

Both these individuals used the power of the Mastermind to achieve their goals. Ford accumulated wealth. Gandhi achieved a miracle of VISION!

Riches & Poverty - The Incredible Connection

I found it thought-provoking how Riches and Poverty were compared.

Mr. Hill stated that money is shy and illusive. It has to be wooed like a woman in a romantic pursuit. To succeed that pursuit must be mixed with faith, desire and persistence and applied through a well-thought-out plan set out into action!

Achieving success and wealth is a powerful result of POSITIVE EMOTIONS!

In contrast, poverty needs no plan to take root. It is bold and ruthless. Likewise, poverty is a powerful result of NEGATIVE EMOTIONS!

Think about these statements for a moment. Quite profound don't you think?

When one tries to achieve success alone, when roadblocks arise, that is when negative emotions raises its ugly head.

However, if you are connected with a mastermind group, you have the power to use the knowledge of the mastermind to generate positive emotions to overcome the roadblocks and succeed.

When we have a problem, the training encourages us to ask questions and discuss it with other members who could provide solutions. Try going it alone could lead to despair and failure.

Admitting one doesn't know something is a good thing. It doesn'e mean you are a failure. But it does mean you are smart enough to know what you do not know and need to get the right information to move forward with your plans.

Even with all the training we get at Wealthy Affiliate, there is ample proof that often the answer to our questions lies in the EXPERIENCE of other members who had grappled with that same problem earlier in their development and found a solution they are happy to share with you.

There you have it. The Power Of The Mastermind.

As members of Wealthy Affiliate, we all have this power. The only conclusion I can see is, if we fail to achieve our goals, it is because we quit before using this power effectively in the pursuit of these goals.
