I want to create a redirect link so I can use my domain name for advertising clickbank or any other links FB decides is not acceptable.
Hey Edward,
Why wouldn't you simply use Pretty Links?

why don't we get the contacts for our subscribers?
We are building a list for someone else, but not our own.
Yeah, it is not a double optin. They are joining our service here and it is actually quite unethical (and illegal) and against privacy protection rules to offer up people's personal details unless they explicitly agree upon this. I know some companies are doing this, but it is very unethical to do so.
If you want to build a list, you should be doing this on your website.
Hi Edward,
I believe you are referring to what Mara addressed below and I agree with her. I create a list on each site that I have and those lists remain site specific.
By joining WA your referral never agreed to get emails from you. It is an affiliate thing.
Personally I come right out and ask my referral for personal info after they join and swap with my own.
Not all my referrals have agreed to be on my MMO list which is generated by my WA promo site.
I hope this helps and you are successful building many lists

If you're doing the Bootcamp, getting WA referrals is the main goal. So that would mean there's really no point in setting up a lead capture system on your blog because you'll just be distracting your visitors from that main goal.
If you wanna build a list, I'd recommend starting another site that does not promote WA.
But that's just me. You can, by all means, start building your list on your WA Bootcamp site.
Hi Edward,
I can see your point, but I think it's fair that if we're being paid a referral fee by WA, then they get to keep the raw email details. I view it very much as an affiliate relationship, that we get commission for. On my niche site I build my own list with a sign up form, and I guess you could do this on any website, even if you are promoting WA. Any names that come into you there would be your list, but once they create a profile here at WA, then their account details belong to WA. I hope that makes sense, and I know not everyone may have the same view as me!

It's up to you to collect the names and email addresses of people who visit your site. People who join WA (even if they use your affiliate link) are subscribing to WA not you. Like most responsible website owners WA treats their subscribers' contact information as private.
