Can't Afford The Premium Membership at WA?

Last Update: October 10, 2018

I've seen quite a few times where starter members love WA but claim they can't afford to upgrade because of financial issues. I get it, times are tough!

So with that in mind, here are some ways to get the money to upgrade:

1. Get Paid For Writing Comments on other WA Members Blogs

Did you know you can actually get paid to participate here on WA. WA has its own money called WA credits which can be redeemed as real cash or can be used to pay for things within WA like your WA membership. Leaving comments on other member's blogs is probably one of the fastest and easiest ways for anyone whether you're new or experiened to earn WA credits aka cash to pay for your membership.

Learn how to do it by reading this guide here.

2. Sell some of your old "JUNK" on Craigslist, Ebay or Amazon.

If you have old cds, cell phones, tvs, gadgets, clothes, toys, furniture, etc., there is probably someone out there that is willing to pay for it. It's like the saying goes, one man's junk is another man treasure! If not your junk, what about your family members or friends? Offer to clean out their garage or attic. You'd be surprised all the things you can find that can be sold online. Plus you'll get some brownie points for helping them! lol

3. Do some small online jobs on Amazon Mechanical Turk.

Most people know Amazon for shopping. But did you know they have a work at home section called mechanical turk where you can get paid for transcription, image tagging, data entry, writing articles, reviews and much more? Depending on the hits (jobs) you do, within a week or two you would probably have enough to pay for a month of WA! Best of all, while you're learning to build a business here on WA, you can make some money on the side with Amazon. So instead of having Amazon making money off you, make some money on off them and re-invest in yourself here at WA!

4. Review what you're currently spending money on & get to slicing!

Chances are you have a cable package where you don't even use all the channels you're paying for. Seriously, when was the last time you really watched the Indy network? Or maybe you have a cell phone plan where you have more minutes or data than you actually use per month. What about all that expensive ass coffee you buy from Starbucks? I guarantee if you really started to review your spending, there are numerous places where you can cut back and you would have enough to pay for your WA membership every month.

How much is your freedom and happiness really worth?

A premium membership is less than $2 per day and even cheaper if you can pay the year upfront.

Aren't your dreams and freedom worth more than that? What about your family? Isn't spending more time with them or giving them a life better than you had worth the sacrifice of less than $2 per day? I think when you view it like that, you'll be able to figure it out.

Again I understand how hard it is for some of us out there, so I don't want to minimize that. But sometimes we just don't have our priorities in order. Next time you spend money on something, I want you to ask yourself is this necessary and is it bringing me closer to my dreams? If you do that, I'm sure you'll soon find that you can afford a premium membership here at WA.

Here's a little diddy that might bring it all home for you:

Let that marinate in your mind. Let me know your thoughts below. I would love to hear from you. Or feel free to share this with anyone you may have run into that isn't able to "afford" WA.

You are so right Eddy!

There are so many ways to pay for WA membership, there is a very little excuse not to be a premium member.

And then, after you've been a premium member for 3 months you can earn by creating tutorials as well.

Thank you for this great guide!

Agreed Alenka. Do you have an post about how to earn by creating tutorials? I would love to link to that as well.

Sadly, I don't at the moment. Since I've created only a few tutorials but haven't earned as yet, I didn't feel like I should write a tutorial on that theme.
Maybe more experienced WA members have a blog post on that subject.
You are so very kind! Thank you!!

One option you mentioned is Amazon Mechanical Turk, but I am finding it most difficult to use this as a solution as they have yet to even get back to me to join its workforce. I had signed up for it over 9 months ago and have not even gotten the emails to continue with their process. I had utilized the same login as for my amazon account, in which I have been an very activity member for several years.
Their FAQ does not help much on this at all. Do you know if they are even still taking on new members for this?

Hey James, I don't know. I haven't used them in years. If I didn't hear from them in within the first week or two, I would have moved on. I am making money with my blogs which is what WA trains you to do here. But if amazon isn't working for you, try the other suggestions i listed especially the site comments.

I just don't see any way that I can pay for this at this time. Amazon Mechanical Turk was a no go. I will have to put all my time doing the free membership. I will be back when my website starts to pay for it. That is what I should have done to begin with.

I'm only a teen earning minimum wage at Coles haha (It's an aussie supermarket for those who don't know). I'm also in Year 12 this year so I probably won't be able to dedicate as much time as I would like to my website. I might get the first month for the discount since holidays are coming up and I can work on it more, but after that I'll have to put it on hold for a bit.

But after I graduate and hopefully earn a bit more I would definitely consider rejoining Premium. Will try that Amazon thing too, thanks Eddy!

Hi Eddy,

Great post. However, at this point in my life I am drowning in debt and I really cannot afford the $49 a month. I'm already in the process of downsizing expenses and unfortunately WA is one of the things I have to trim from my expenses.

I just want to say that I have learned a great deal from the WA community and maybe one day in the future I will be back!

I am in a similar situation. I am starting a new job to make more money but it is very labour intensive at this point and I can't justify paying the fee if I don't have the time to do anything with WA right now. Awesome program. Awesome community. Will come back soon.

Sounds like you typing from experience and i hope so because there is nothing wrong with this, i do the same or mainly just pay the bill doing my normal paying survey and referrals i make pretty okay pay plus monthly saving helps too. So premium shouldnt be a hassle more of an advantage

Everything I write here on WA is based on my experience and research. So yes.

Thank you Eddy for your concern. You obviously read my mind regarding the monthly fee. I'm interested but must wait until I make money to pay the fees. I like the #2 suggestion. I'll look into it and hope it suites me. If so, I'll sign up. Meanwhile, I got to keep hustling to make it happen.

Hi Eddy,
Thanks for the post. Before I came to WA I checked out Amazon Turk and found it to be lacking. A lot of the jobs I saw looked to be time-consuming tasks that paid teenie cents on the dollar. A more feasible approach might be downloading an app like Easy Shift, which offers more income and is tailored to people's general locations.
I don't rep the company and only downloaded it a few days ago, but it appeared to have more promise than the Amazon Turk one (IMO).
Either way, thanks for keeping the info train rolling.

I like uising this program. I am stuck on deciding if I want to do iPhone or camping. I have been told I know a lot about music but I do like computers. I just need to figure out how to get my web site up and running with either one of my ideals. I really like this program.

This is a really great post. I really want to upgrade to yearly, but being a student I'm not in the financial position. If only it was possible to pay it per day, and it wouldn't seem like such a huge amount to pay in one go haha! I hadn't heard of Amazon's mechanical turk so I'm definitely going to look into that.
Thanks for the advice as always!

Thank you so much.. This is all amazing... I thank you all... Unfortunately, In my case I need to cancel quickly to ensure that my friend gets his money bk so he can get his medication.. If i was relieved of that troubled area, i could further work on coming up with my own money to pay for my June premium amount due.. I'm in a tough situation as I'm trying to come up with money for him.. Since i don't know how long or if he will be reimbursed, i have faith due to WA and Kyle and Carson are great caring and trustworthy people, as i feel and see in there work and much effort to train and help millions growing to billions, in no time in sure.. WA kicks ass.. Can I say that, oops i mean kicks butt...
Unfortunately This is a life or dear situation for my friend as his meds are important as all are I don't mean to make him any more important than anyone whom takes meds to get through their illnesses.. I want to say that i am so amazed at all the effort and time as well as the compassion and such to help us all out here ways to keep our membership here at WA ... I thank WA again.... i would almost do anything to be able to stay and grow with WA... So since ifs almost anything that means that I'm going to try these to hopefully be able to re start a membership if that's allowed asap.... i believe in WA i am still promoting the company even if I'm not a member i actually just told 3 people while watching this and reading this great info..
Thanks again,
Miss Tcup

Those are some excellent tips! and would you suggest buying a domain at that time or wait--I'm trying to organize how to do all this and I'd really appreciate your feedback and thanks in advance! Oh yeah--I've already finished phase 1 of bootcamp and the getting started and want to go premium 5/5/17

This is so accurate. I am actually cutting of my cable this week. That will free up $120 a month, something that is definitely not going to help me reach my dreams any sooner. That's how serious I am about this. We all have unnecessary expenses and prioritizing is definitely key here.

Do to my disability & my finances , I'm really forced to leave WA. My disability is lack of memory, from the two times of dying in the past, yea it was bad times. Also I'm sure I will be closing my bank account before next month unless I sale my scooter by then and I kind of doubt it. I really can't afford paying anymore overdraft fee's like I have. And it's really not at my doing, It's unexpected payment that I forgot. I have thought about moving back to Calf. were I would receive alot more disability money. Only thing is I have no family there anymore. I didn't finish my website because of my memory and if anyone wants it they can have it. I'm sorry I did not mean to waste anyone anything. I hope all my friends here at WA understands ! THANK YOU ALL Robin Taylor P.S you can find me on F.B. under Rob Taylor

One step at a time on this thing. Def don't let it take over your day or let the massive amounts of info people are more than willing to shove your way confuse you. S!ow and steady is best and if it gets too overwhelming I put it on the back burner. Its not paying my bills yet so I don't treat it like it is.
Maybe someday but not right now..

Interesting thing. I've received lately a LOT and I mean a LOT of mails related to "how", "why", "what", "why not" and so on from WA! Take this, make that, why don't etc. The ONLY reason at this moment I lastly joined (at least for the first month) this community is because I wanted to post this comment! I am however, ALWAYS very careful in regard to "internet" and people I don't know and never met face to face! I don't trust them until I am convinced of the contrary. So, basically, my points on short terms WHY I am not convinced YET that WA is a "gold mine" for me.

1. THE MASSIVE and AGGRESSIVE amount of mails! This tactic reminds me of a similar one from the WW 2. This is the MAIN REASON I didn't join until now! Basically, I do agree with most of the points, BUT (always has to be a BUT - only 1) some of them are simply out of reach (my personal opinion). Explanation: 0,83 ¢/day is nothing. I agree. BUT, try to pay 100K$ once, instead of ten years, every moth only 30$. Think twice.

2. To join WA community, I need first to understand WHAT I am learning. How the system work. How do I get learned. What I'll be able to do in 6 month time. Will I be smarter than before? Will I be able to go forth and build a business? Can this become a life from now on? And so on ...

3. Let me clear state this (my personal statement): it's not about the 19$/month or 49 or 299/y!!! I can afford that! It's about IF THAT AMOUNT can bring me to a whole new way of life where I have no clue about it! Where I have no knowledge, no expertise, no skills. Will I become skilled paying that amount? Worth it paying for? Yes, I'm a newbie regarding advertising and affiliate marketing! I have no clue about it. But, I am eager to learn, exactly how I learned by myself to manage a whole server, installing and maintaining it, how I got skilled with web apps, how I got experienced with a lot of things. And yes, I have a journalist degree (audio-video media) and also many trainings and formations in Quality Management! Which actually, is my actual job (automotive).

I felt like I needed to write all these thoughts down because I don't trust a system I don't understand (at the beginning).

Apologies for any inconveniences caused by and for my bad english. Unfortunately, is not my natural/mother language.

Regards,
Alex

I agree with you, paying the yearly fee in one time is still a lot of money. I do think this site has a lot to offer so I might come back later, but for now I have to spend my time on some other things and be a bit careful with my money. Thanks for the insightful comment :-)

I've been an active eBay seller for over 15 years. I know it can sometimes be overwhelming for beginners just as WA can be to new community members.

I will gladly help anyone out with questions if they need it. I am familiar with both domestic and international selling. So please ...If you have questions...please don't hesitate. There is a FB for eBay sellers as well. They answer questions and give advice also.

We all want to succeed at what we do...so utilize someone else's experiences to save yourself some time and headaches.
Just as I'm sure I will utilize the experienced Affiliates here at WA.

Hey Kelly,

Sorry to hear about all the health issues. You definitely need to focus on your health before anything else. First thing, I don't control your membership. You need to contact Kyle and Carson for that. Secondly you can't revert back to free. You can leave and sign up as a premium member again when you're ready. You just need to confirm what happens to your site with Kyle. I hope this helps.

There are also some great opportunities with eBay, and a few other reputable companies out there to do that same kind of thing Eddy. That is a great piece of advice! I know I am already inventorying the list of things I don't need or never use that I could sell on these kinds of sights to make money. Thanks for the input!

Hi Eddy, That is all great about cutting back, but what advice do you have for people that don't have the time to put forth because they're working to pay for the membership? So at that point they don't get ahead still yet because now they don't have the time to do the training at WA. This is where I'm at. I understand about priorities, but if you don't have the job to pay for the membership them it doesn't matter if you have the time to do the training. So let me know what advice you have for that, if any.
Thank You

I like your articles but am tired of hearing the phrase, "claim they can't afford it." With the two of us 'surviving' on $26,000 annually and a third of that going for drs and medicine, I see RED when I hear that phrase!

Charlotte, as I said in the article above: "Again I understand how hard it is for some of us out there, so I don't want to minimize that. " it's also why I had the section about Amazon mechanical Turk because I do realIze some people don't have the means for this. I'm sorry you choose to fixate on parts of the article that are addressed to others that are not in your situation.

Apparently I should have private messaged my comment - or just held it in because I did NOT want a comment on it. (I don't know how to use that feature yet.) I thought I made it plain that I was just "blowing off steam" and not saying that you were targeting me or somebody in a real spot.

If you respond to this I will not reply because this was a comment I should not have made; it concerns the past and I want to go forward in a positive state of mind.

Janice,

I don't understand your question. Mechanical Turk doesn't require a website. Amazon Associates does and that's totally different. Make sure you read my mechanical turk article http://www.workathomenoscams.com/2008/07/29/work-at-home-with-amazoncom/ carefully and watch the video there so you understand how it works. I don't think turk is only for US workers.
