Its Only $2.45, Still I Respect My First Sale

The amount is not much, in fact, this is a very tiny amount. It's only $2.45, but still, this is my first sale and I must respect my first sale.

It was tough time

It came exactly when I was getting frustrated with my travel related niche website. Few visitors were visiting every day through organic traffic but the earn book in Amazon was still blank. I even stopped crawling the Amazon associate account unless I needed it for a product review.

It is true that I was passing through a hopeless time, but still, what I did, I continued to create contents. This is what I learned here in Wealthy Affiliate... Don't give up, keep working, the result will come to meet you. It is true that, after I started my second website (online marketing) I could afford lesser time for my first niche website. But, I always tried to keep a balance.

Anyway, I am glad to share the news that a sale came finally. It came lately, it took almost 7 months after joining Wealthy Affiliate. But that's not a big deal, because now I believe this happens in reality, and affiliate marketing is a real scope to make money online.

The way I worked

To be honest, I don't have 100s of articles on my website, because this is my first ever appearance in the online world and it took a lot of time to learn things. Additionally, English is not my mother tongue. So, I needed some extra time to complete an article in comparison to others (even still I need more time). Besides I focused on lengthy contents (5000-7000 word), which also decreased the number of articles (but of course helped me to rank better).

One thing I tried to follow properly which I learned in training... I do not include affiliate links in most of my articles. I include affiliate links in my 20-30% articles. Which is probably another factor for better ranking, though I am not sure about it. (I have seen affiliate links in almost every page in many websites)

However, I am glad that I got my first sale and earned my first commission. A new dream starts to blink again. Don't know, when I'll get the next sale, but what I know, I have a long way to go. And Wealthy Affiliate taught us not to give up ever. So let's continue the fight for financial freedom.
