So, I've been writing several pages and posts about my topics. Now, what really bugs me is whether I should write in a way that I'm addressing the reader individually such as "
I like to write in the first-person, as if I'm speaking individually to that reader. But I do agree that you have to be careful that you don't sound like a dictator! :)
True, I try to make some of my writing mellow so that they don't feel being commanded. However, there are also those lines where I really have to be "commanding" because I feel like "I've experienced this so don't make this mistake!"
I tend to write in a manner such as 'personally, it is my experience that one should ......' . The intention is to use that 'personally', I am sharing intimacy .... it is my experience to emphasize authority....one should instead of 'commanding' , although there are indeed instances when you have to use strong language so that your reader understands it is imperative, not suggested.
Thanks for the opinions everyone. I try to switch them up occasionally in my posts just so that it wouldn't feel like I'm dictating or too "close" with the readers.
I just finished my latest post and have used "You" quite a lot. Though I do not like to feel like I am dictating to my reader so I often add "in my opinion" or "I feel" or "I believe or "for me".
Here is my link to my latest post if you want an example:

There's no hard and fast rule, Dreddooo, but generally speaking I go with the "You must....". Just my thoughts.
Any other ideas?

I always say this is my opinion or what I believe, leave it up to the reader to form his/her opinon.

So, I've made some content already but what makes me wonder is how I can effectively target my audience using keywords. I don't know how to use them, where to put them for SEO,
Check out some of the lessons provided.
You can use the keyword tool or Jaxxy to find the best keywords for your site. Then you need to place the keywords ideally in the first few lines of your content per page and then dotted throughout.
Be sure to target more than just one keyword as this will diversify your audience and broaden the search results.
Hope this helps
Jon
Thank you very much for this. I did have an idea on where to put them. I just had to confirm.
