Monday's are the worse to make you get up and go. Why is the weekend so short and the work week so long?

I heard somewhere that there are more heart attacks, suicides, and mental breakdowns on Monday's than any other day of the week. I know we have to restart ourselves from some weekend downtime but it can't really be that bad is it?
mondays for us is a blurr we are so busy it is home time before we know it and we work 12 hour days everyday but I love tuesdays because that is my day off cheers Helen
I'm in the same boat I work 6 days and 12 hours a day plus drive over an hour there and back. It wears on you. So Sunday is my day of rest and peace; I spend it with the family.
I always said Monday should be a holiday - I don't like Sundays so I make that my working day where I put in the most working hours.
Monday is a day where I spend quality time with my partner.
