I went to the tutorial and it is very easy to follow.
But I can't find "head" anywhere in my HTML. The word "Header" is all over the place. Do not want to do anything until I get more information. I did some code altering on a previous theme and while it did some of what I wanted it also screwed some things up and I never got my site back to the way I wanted it.
It is under the theme header via the Editor as described. I see no problem. Follow the video from the beginning.
Thank you. I looked at it again and see where I had missed one step. Once I found the right place I was able to do it.

I use the Twenty Fourteen theme, and recently have had a couple of issues that I need to fix.
I altered some code based on a blog I read to increase the column width, and
Rather than waste your time with an outdated-looking default theme, why not simply use a different theme? There are many themes which are FAR superior to Twenty-Fourteen in my opinion. Switching themes would save you time, hassle, and money.
Either way, hope you get this worked out so you can focus on content creation! :)
That was something I had thought about, but just not had the time yet to delve into.
Do you have a suggestion on another theme?
Also, I haven't looked at the different themes in quite a while. As I recall you can "look" at a theme with your current content, as a test, without actually committing to change it, correct?
See my post above. Actually, other than the issue of the column width leaving wider margins than I like I really love the way twenty fourteen looks.
You may need to use a Tables plug in or try the Page builder plugin by site origin

Getting page layouts is always and issue...
Don't use code to set it straight because you'll need to call the coder again if you change images and the new images aren't EXACTLY the same.
David if you are going to make money online I would strongly recommend you learn.
I know its a steep learning curve and must seem daunting at times but you should learn and from that experience and knowledge gained you will have a greater sense of achievement than paying someone else for a quick fix.

I have over 600 hours of my "free" time invested in this over the past couple of years. My niche is gardening and right now I am working on producing content on about 45 different types of plants that I am planning to promote through a couple of online garden retailers. I need to get the content in place before I can do anything else. I have the training program on hold until this is done.
When I am satisfied that the content is substantial enough and I'm happy with it, then I will go back into the training and probably invest the time to dive into wordpress deeper. Right now, I need some help to go forward and I don't have the time to do it myself.
Ok and I do understand there could be time constraints.
Its not always easy to find the time to do everything.
Send me a PM about whatever it is you are having problems with and I will see if there is anything I can do.
You being in the USA and me in the UK there is that time difference so if you send me a msg tonight I can't reply until tomorrow as its getting late here and I usually switch off to chill out before bed.

IF YOU GOT NO ENOUGH TIME, IT IS WISE TO APPOINT OR HIRE ANY PARTY TO HELP YOU GO THROUGH.
BUT, IN MY OPINION, ONLY An OPINION SIR, FOR WHAT WE LEARN AT WA, IT IS ALWAYS GOOD TO FIX AND DO IT OURSELF WHILE LOOKING FOR COMMUNITY HELPS AS AND WHEN POSSIBLE TO EASE OUR PROBLEM A BIT.

For the most part so far, I have used a website where I have purchased the images for a small fee and downloaded them. I have not paid much attention to adding an attribution
I have had a lot of trouble with inserting images into my website so I understand your question. I searched the WA search field above and found: "Add link in image editor", dated March 4, 2017. This might answer your question. I don't know how to give you the actual URL to get you there right away because I don't know how to do that yet. It's a good video tutorial.
I shall follow your question and hope that you get many answers. But I learned a lot from the video. Good luck.
I tried copying the link from the actual photo page in Wikimedia Commons and then pasting it into the box using the insert link icon (as I have done when I link to something on Amazon), but could not get it to work.
I am wondering if I even need to provide the link under the picture, as long as I type in the identification of the author under the picture.
Does anyone else use Wikimedia Commons? If so, what is considered appropriate "due diligence" for attributing a photograph author?

I have used Yoast for a few months and published several posts using it. I have always applied the principal of using the focus keyword in the first part of my post, and Yoast
I used Yoast for a while but it always told me my keyword was not at the first when it was. I just got my light to turn ok by doing other stuff and ignoring that one. However, after I got the hang of it Yoast started bothering me because I was too focused on making sure the lights were green and not on my actual content so I went back to All in one. Y did help me get a better handle on SEO thou. It is as Jim said...a blip in the program. God Bless-- shary
I have had a few issues like this with Yoast. Twice, I have had it tell me that my page title was not long enough. The title both times was plenty long. Yoast doesn't dictate any kind of responses to your website, it just assist you in making sure that SEO is good. You make not get a green dot, but you will still be able to post your work. Its just a Yoast glitch. Make sure you are using the updated version.

A few family events have taken me away from working on my website for the past few months but now that I am trying to get back at it I have run into a small problem.

That's possible. Before I had to stop working on this for a number of months I believe it was working just fine. One of my problems is that I had most of my spreadsheets such as the one I used for keyword analysis on a thumb drive and I lost the drive when I went out of town, so I am having to re-create a lot of things.
Earlier today the thing was working fine on my work computer, but then it stopped. I don't think its a re installation issue, because it has worked...it just doesn't work all the time.
