ok i bought a .org website they just didnt have a .com avail is this going to hinder me in the future?
I try to stay away from the.orgs if possible, Danielle! I could have had my desired name in a .org a while back, but chose not too. You could always try it out, and if oyu are dissatisfied, you could transfer your site from that domain to a new domain of your choosing,as well, at a later time. Site Support took care of that for me, moving one of my sites to a new domain becuase I chose a domain name with hyphens in it, and after I read later about them, I realized that I'd likely never have success with it. (People usually don't type in the hyphens when doing a search.)
I know you will achieve success one way or another. Things like these are part of the learning curve, my friend!

We would recommend a dot com domain name.
dot org is for organizations (non profit))
There are so many good names to come up with and your domain name will not help your site to get ranked. It is your psot content that is important.
Here is a site that may help you find an alternative name.
Leandomainsearch.com
The suffix of your doamin name will make no difference what so ever
Proof of this
Type in any keyword and you will see Wikipedia outranking almost every website
Wikipedia is a .org website
Enough said

Lots of people overthink this.
It's not going to hold you back at all. I can't think of the last time I looked at search results and decided on who to choose based on the suffix of the website, lol.
It's 100% your personal preference. You could even argue that it'll make you stand out.
Your keyword research and content are what are going to bring you traffic. Most people don't even notice the suffix.
Jay's website (WA's head trainer) is on a .org.
Nothin to worry about.
