Serious Question? What does this mean? Where can I find out?
Would you guys believe this. I’ve been here at WA for nearly 4 years now and last week I came across the page shown at the top. I’d seen this page many, many, months ago and promised myself I would find out.
I can see that it is the results of a formula to calculate a person’s ranking, but where can I find out more about this?
What factors affect your creator standing for instance?
How is the helper status calculated?
What influences activity position?
And how do all these factors fit together to make a member ranking.
You would think that after four years I would know all this, but sorry team, I’ve let the side down. I haven’t a clue. I know that some folk are ranking watchers, I’m not. Which probably explains my obvious lethargy in finding an answer, but this week is the week when I will discover the truth.
All help appreciated, and I’m sure there are lots of other members that are thinking the same thing.

That's an interesting question, Bux!
The truth is that I don't know, but it looks like Timothy has given you an excellent answer. I don't take too much notice of the ranking system and I'm sure that you are the same. My ranking goes up and down all the time, I believe it was created for a bit of a fun type factor, which is good, as long as we don't take it too seriously!
I was here for several years, Bux, and I kept finding golden nuggets on the Wealthy Affiliate platform that I didn't know existed! I think the new hubs will definitely help to simplify things.

My ranking is not stable either, its been all over the place, but I'm not here for ranking, I use the platform to drive people to my YT channel.

That's interesting that you use a platform for driving people to your YouTube channel, I hadn't really thought of that one. Does that really work, Dave?
It fascinates me how different members are here for different reasons. I came here really for the up-to-date training and being with like-minded people is an added bonus. But I know quite a few members who just came for the hosting, some for the community aspect and some for other reasons.
However, if it's helping to bring traffic to your YouTube channel, that's brilliant!

You're obviously a bright spark! Let's hope people stay on the channel, watt would they do without you! I must admit I was shocked and electrified at the same time by the amount of views your channel has! I'm shocked that your channel has had so many views! I think your channel brings such a positive vibe, you definitely don't want any negative vibes!
It's great that there seems to be no resistance with your channel, but that's probably because you conduct the videos in a good way! It's great that you produce such high-voltage content, Bux. Your channel is also content that doesn't get outdated, so these people will stay and come back rather than just going in a flash!😄

Yes, I have wondered the same. I do know it's better to get caught up here instead of stuck scrolling Facebook or TikTok😂
When I find myself reading through blogs and posts within WA I feel guilty at times. Like when I look up from Facebook and an hour has passed; absolute waste of time🤬
The difference is that it's actually being productive and helpful to others when I spend an hour or more a day within WA. Okay, sometimes more than that.😏
I just made it under top 200 and feel like that's a milestone. I hope to be more active as I progress and learn from each of you here.

Do you experience any real, concrete benefit from a high WA rank beyond emotional satisfaction?
Is the benefit to you of having a high WA rank worth the effort to maintain it?

For me, no, ranking doesn't matter, just the social element that breaks up the day and an opportunity to interact with others.
I do know that some are keen to keep a ranking position, so yes, I suppose they must put the effort in.
Its a good job we are all different, what a boring world that would be.

Hi Bux here is a old blog from Kyle explaining the factors with the internal ranking system above.
Note it has nothing to do with your website or earning online just an internal ranking based on various activities.

As others say, it all has to do with activity on the platform, Bux. And as you can see, the more often someone writes platform posts the more they move up. Some might see that as rigging the system but in the long run, it doesn’t provide any concrete value other than a personal satisfaction. Kind of clever! Enjoy that coffee and hope you’re keeping well :-))
Coffee was good, so was the cake. I was just interested in the three categories, being inquisitive. I've had some good answers and I know others have shown an interest too.
