Why I think Bing and Yahoo are better search engines than Google
So I have been going through the Wealthy Affiliate training over the last few weeks and I have created several blog posts for both my websites using the formula described in the training. I have targeted keywords found using Jaaxy and created content with word count over 1000 and headings etc.
I expected it to take quite some time for my content to rank but to my delight my article written just a few weeks ago targeting the keyword "How to sell affiliate products on my website" is already on Page 1 of Google, Yahoo and Bing! Yay!
This is where Jaaxy says my article is ranked - although when I checked myself this didnt quite reflect what i found. On Bing my article came out on Page 1 position 5. On Yahoo my article is on Page 1 position 3. While this is very exciting news the disappointment comes when I search on Google and its actually only on page 5 of the results - not Page 1 position 8 as suggested by Jaaxy.
Nevertheless I am really pleased to have got an article ranked so highly in such a short space of time especially since I haven't really been focusing on my blog that much as I have been working on another project I am creating.
However my research across the 3 search engines reinforced a feeling I have had about the results you get from them. I have felt for a while that Google search results are increasingly heavily influenced by the big name marketers and companies who pay a lot for advertising slots at the top of results pages.
I find that a lot of the results on page 1 of Google are only loosely related to the search term you enter whereas with Bing and Yahoo the results are much more directly related to what you enter.
The fact still remains that Google is still the top dog for searches made by the average person so as affiliate marketers and bloggers we still need to find a way to make it to the top of the Google rankings too.
Personally I feel that the fact i have made such solid progress in getting one of my early articles ranked so quickly shows just how good the training is here at wealthy affiliate. If you follow it - you will get results.
However I think I will be doing much more of my research on Yahoo and Bing in future to get more targeted results for my searches.
Good luck to all
David

I am still getting no luck with my blogs yet,
But I believe it will as time being.
Wishing you the continued success, Dave!

Hi Eli. Thanks for your comment. Don’t worry- you will also be ranking on page 1 soon if you keep working. Good luck 🙂
Thank you Dave. I usually do well with bing-yahoo, Google not so well.
Possible my keyword selection is lacking.
Hi James. I'm still new to this SEO stuff but I just get the impression that bing and yahoo results more closely relate to your search query

Hi and congratulations.
Interesting, am sure it can be explained? I would like to know why?
Must be to do with overall or average search phrases...not everyone will type into Google the exact search phrase as what you did (to check against jazzy). I really don't know, just throwing ideas around.
Good post
Thanks for sharing

Hi Daisy. Thanks for the comment. I definitely think that Google gives better rankings to those that spend money with them too.
oh really! I don't like that point
