It will take time for Google to index your new website.. It is not always a fast process... If you enter your full URL and your website comes up .. then it is active... But for sure you will find your site will not be listed high in the rankings when entering search terms and keywords... Put your URL here so we can all take a look.

Please check with your focused keyword and if the problem continues you must fetch with google webmaster tools in order to get indexed quickly or else you can use wincher.com. to find your keyword ranking.

I have noticed that it seems like a lot of Wordpress themes don't let you have comments on "pages" only "posts." Not sure why this is, but I've run into it before.
Go to 'Settings' then 'Discussion'. On top, there should be a box which says "Allow people to post comments on new articles." Make sure thats activated. Hope this helps.

Use: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/ - can display different navigation menus in sidebars on different pages, posts or categories of the site.
Can this be added to my website via the dashboard or do i have to install onto my home pc?
It's a wordpress plugin. If you haven't installed plugins before, just search for some of the training that's been done on this by WA members.
Don't worry about getting the menu sorted out now. It can wait until you're more familiar with using WordPress.

Go to your Settings==> General and check the site title there. If that's OK then check Appearance==> Customize==> Site Identity. If that's OK then you can post a screenshot of what you're seeing so we can try to help Screenshots on the Fly
It's there for me. Maybe you need to clear your cache, flush your DNS or try a different browser.

So, I've been mulling over a few niche ideas. My job (current and throughout my entire adult life) has been a chef, so I figure since I know the industry and have grown reasona
Hi Daniel. For me, I think you've got some great ideas going here. You've obviously got the knowledge to take on any of your thoughts listed. I like the idea of creating a recipe review website. I would narrow that down to maybe a diabetic recipe review site, as that would be helping a specific group of people. I like your idea of the fast motion videos creating the food and also being able to link to many types of products on Amazon or whatever affiliate you choose. That is my opinion. :)
