Anybody know how to find information about how much money (total) Amazon paid it's Affiliates in 2015. Just interested in this kind of info.

they are a cash making cow

I am guessing 10 million because their profit in 2015 was 92 million

How much money did amazon pay it's affiliates last year?

I was wondering if anybody breaks up posts into different parts (part 1, part 2, etc.) and how you promote the individual parts.

I have done this where there really were logical breaks or separators between the content but they were still part of an overall whole.

I don't necessarily label them part 1 or part 2, unless they're training for my readers, but if I understand you correctly I believe you're referencing a funnel method with your posts.

I use that and a lot of people here too, you'll start off with an informational page with links to other separate posts for things mentioned in the first post which from there would lead to review pages then $$$.

If you've gone through the training you'll notice how Kyle makes his original post about How to lose belly fat, then he mentions how juicing is beneficial for losing weight, with other methods, then if someone was to click the juicing link (just the word with a link to be settle) they would be taken to a post specifically on juicing.

This would then be where he would then recommend at the end and in some links in between to check out his #1 recommendation for juicing.

From here the reader is directed to a review page on a juicer where he gives links to purchase and a detailed review over the product.

So it's informational page -> other post on specific topic -> then review page.

As they progress the reader will most likely become more open to links and establish more trust leading up to the review page where they can make a purchase. So with promoting products try not to throw an affiliate link in their face in the first post, this'll make you come off as just trying to make a sale and they'll leave.

Hope this helped!

Yeah, man! Absolutely!

Putting an affiliate link/call to action on every page would look pretty shady, huh?

The funnel you're talking about is about building trust before trying to sell...makes a lot of sense! Thanks!

I do this. I have a five-part series where I plug each other part. So for example, in part 2 I mention part 1 at the beginning, and part 3 at the end. I then have a resource page with book material that led to the insights of the series, and where I direct people who want to learn more. (My site is basically academic and promotes books.)

I'm toying with different options, but I plan to only put affiliate links in the resource page, but not in any of the five parts. This fits with Kyle's advice in the trainings to centralize affiliate links so that they are on some pages but not others, and the pages they're not on link to the pages they're on.

Hope this helps!

I should clarify: each of my five parts link to the resource page.

Yeah, thanks man!

I was just wondering if other people did this. It's kind of a toss up because I want to make use of my content to funnel somewhere that makes me money, but I don't want to discourage reading the other parts of the post!

Yeah for sure. It definitely helps you make money in the long run to have people want to move around to multiple pages in your site, and I think that multiple-part series help on that front.

When people don't search like that and the competition doesn't match up?

It is accurate but indeed competition in Google is far higher because it is usually not quoted search. There is nothing better.

How are qsr's an accurate measure of competition?
