Wake Up Early! Join the 5 O'Clock Club
In this one life endeavour I didn't succeeded yet.
It is my greatest wish to wake up successfully at 5 o'clock every morning because it has so many benefits regards health, productivity and overall happiness in life.
Initial idea about 5 O'Clock Club came to me from Robin Sharma who posted video on YouTube which is extremely motivating.
I've tried to follow his advice numerous times but failed at it miserably every time in the past few years.
One time I succeeded to get up for a few days in a row and then, despite that I got up and went to another room to turn off the very complicated alarm clock, somehow managed to RETURNED TO BED. :-(
Another time, I also followed Robin's advice and go out running for a twenty minutes, but then came rainy morning and I RETURNED TO BED.
As I sad, there was quite a few attempts to install this habit, but didn't succeed in that.
Now, with this article out in public and your help, I'll try once more!
So, if there are some 5 O'Clock Club members among you, my dear friends, please, comment and help me with this because it is one of the most important life challenges to me.
Exit Your Comfort Zone and Prosper!
Best Regards,
Dan Coly

I think that it is good to wake up early if, and only if, you had at least 7 hours of steady sleep. Otherwise, the brain cannot work well.
I always try to go to bed early in order to wake up early but of course that doesn't always work.
I am usually still awake at 5AM so no good for me!
I just stay awake longer and go to bed when I can no longer stay awake and/or am suffering from the diminishing returns thing.

I have never been successful waking up that early. When I did it was because I had to. There may be a time when I do something I enjoy and I will wake up at 5 with no effort.
The trick is to get up 5 minutes earlier each day until you reach your target time and then make it a habit to get up early everyday---also get up at the same time each day of the week even on weekends
Hi Dan, I´m up at 5.15 every morning Monday to Friday. I don´t go running or do other such things but I like to get to my classroom an hour before I need to. It gives me chance to return emails and make my "to do" list etc. I feel that extra hour gives me more control over things.
I haven´t managed to do it at the weekends though but now you´ve got me thinking. It would be great to get up early and do some exercise before getting stuck into writing content etc. Maybe it would help clear my mind.
Hi, Dan, it so happens I woke up around 4.30 this morning and could not get back to sleep. So, I decided I might as well get up and start my day.
What will help you to get up at five, is to go to sleep eight hours before. That is if you´re an eight-hour sleeper. For some people seven hours works best, others eight and a half or even nine. The point is that with this method, you eventually won´t need alarm clocks to wake you in the rudest manner. Instead, you´ll wake up in a much more pleasant way when and because you´ve slept enough and are well rested.
Now I´ll watch the video you linked to.
Best of luck!
No alarm clocks ...just do it.
Your brain is far more capable of telling you to wake up and get up. You have, I do not know but about 100 times more ability in your brain than the internet!
You can teach your brain to do whatever you want, be positive do not say to yourself you are going to fail...turn it around!
