I think the ranking system is a great fun way (especially for newbies) to gauge how they are interacting here at the site. If they see themselves rising up the leaderboard, it encourages them to keep doing what they're doing.

The longer you are here, the less important the measure becomes, because you'll find you automatically do the things the algorithm likes.

I generally hover around the 170-230 mark, but it depends on what i'm doing outside of WA. In the last 3 years i've had a serious issue to deal with, but my rank doesn't drop much even if I do nothing, so I presume longevity of membership is an algorithm factor.

You'll be seeing a lot more of me in 2024 though, so I look forward to helping anyone I can.

Great vlog Dale! Thank you for explaining this process in simple terms and making it easy to understand. I don't recall ever seeing anyone break down the ambassador program like that before, and I really appreciate you doing so here!

It's a good video you've put together there. I think it was a bit of an unusual one but definitely a clarification that we need.

There was a new starter member that had commented on someone else's post about reaching the top 200 (obviously they were proud) and the comment that was left was very rude and unfair! I think whatever people's opinions is regarding ranking should be kept to themselves instead of making those that are ranking and feeling proud about it feel bad!

Leaderboards can be fun and the best thing about helping others is we also learn at the same time as well!

That was very well said and should clarify some things about the Ambasordership. I am in the section of members who don't want to necessarily be one, but I do like to pop in and help where I can :-)
