Knowledge Is Not Power

For years I have heard the slogan Knowledge Is Power. Nowadays I feel that statement is a half truth. What I have learned over the years through a series of hard knocks is that knowledge is POTENTIAL POWER. In many cases knowledge is just data and if it's not put into action it's just data. To me ACTION IS POWER! Even the smallest action is a step in the right direction.

For years I have heard friends say they were going to do certain things but they never seem to take the first step. I was the same way for many years. Then I just decided to take action on certain things, even if I didn't know what I was doing. The funny thing is once you take action, opportunities seem to appear out of nowhere.

To me the first step is crucial. I take a three mile walk every day late at night. Many times when I'm out walking an idea for a book or business pops into my head from seemingly nowhere. The first thing I do when I get home is open a file on the idea on my computer. I find this to be absolutely essential in getting things in motion.

Not to get religious here but I have a friend who says God has never talked to him. I find that God is always talking to me in the form of intuition and ideas. Where else could these things be coming from? I heard a line a few years ago that seems to resonate. When God gives you an idea, it's not your job to say HOW. it's your job to say YES!
