Hi everyone!

So glad to be part of this community and look forward to learning as much as I can while building my Online Business. However, as of this writing, I don't have a clue......I will be calling on you all to lend a helping hand.

I have had a design/decor business for a number of years....travelling cross country to re-image restaurants for a fortune 500 company. I am ready to stay put and do more mental than physical work.

So looking forward to this new adventure and to making my online business a success and of course, continually paying it forward to whomever I can.

Let's get rolling!

Broken down, this is going to be more than achievable for you (and then some). The internet has over 2 billion people actively search for and buying things online. All you need to do is connect with a few of these people each day to meet your initial goal!

I know with some hard work and persistence you will achieve all of your goals and then be building brand new ones. I am here to help if you ever need anything and you have an entire community rooting for your success here at WA Lorrayne! :)

Good morning Kyle...
Thanks you for responding. I have been flying solo for so long....I am overwhelmed with all the support of the WA members. I really am ready to join in with a group that shares vision and passion.
I don't yet understand how I will develop my niche, but you certainly encouraged the notion of design/decor.
I am only on Lesson 2 today....and will be a premium member shortly. One step at a time for me.
Thanks again, Kyle.

Welcome! Re-imaging restaurants sounds like an interesting background. Is it mostly aesthetics, or does it involve psychological triggers too?

Hi Steve. Thanks for the shout out. The scope of work for the re-images were everything from ceiling replacement, HVAC work, electrical, plumbing, flooring (tile to hardwood usually) hardwood booths, upholstery, tables, chairs, light fixtures, painting, drywall, detail, detail, detail. Building entry ways; interior awnings.... I have always been heavy with artwork and that creates a fun atmosphere. The traveling cross country was interesting too. I am proud of what I have done in the past, but am in need of and ready to move forward with a Plan B that willl carry me into the long term.

It sounds like an interesting career. I'd looked into restaurant design once as part of a copywriting project, and was intrigued by the subtle psychology-based nuances that can go into successful design. These articles talks about some of them, for example:

http://www.notquitenigella.com/2014/01/14/psychology-restaurant-design

http://www.sandiegomagazine.com/San-Diego-Magazine/March-2010/Restaurant-Psychology/

The objective is to make patrons stay longer and spend more. Some expensive touches may be specific to high-end restaurants, but others, like menu touches, may be more common. Fascinating information!

Steve....THANKS!
I've printed the articles so I can read them tonight. Never hurts to gain as much perspective as possible. I so appreciate your interest and resources.
What interests are you pursuing within this program?

Hello, you're welcome for the resources, and there are many more online (just Google "restaurant design psychology"). With your background and connections, these might give you some ideas. After a couple of decades as an active internet consultant, I'm now working on a passive income strategy. It's a good way to apply copywriting and marketing skills while developing new income streams. Good luck with your projects, and feel free to contact me anytime.

Thanks. I am sure you are doing well. You at least are familiar with the world of internet...I am a total novice....the data is a bit overwhelming, but nonetheless I am charging forward.
You can be sure I will call on you in the near term....

Thanks! I'm sure you'll sort it out soon enough - you don't have to know everything about the internet, just what is necessary to take the next step. Now you've got a friend in the web business, so that's a start! (g)

You bet....and I am glad of it...friend!
I keep getting so sidetracked by all the links, etc. in the Courses/Lessons...YIKES. I certainly will have to keep going back as I move forward! HA

No kidding on the distractions - it's like a sugared-up kid at the carnival. Look, shiny things! Oooo look! More shinies! But the lessons do a good job of keeping people on track. All the extra learning is good, but if following the sequence, they'll get something done rather than running around in circles until collapsing from exhaustion. Theoretically, ha ha.

LOL....you are too funny. That is exactly what I did today and now I am spent (mentally...and, physically, this sitting all day doesn't help either!!) On this Day 2 and I feel that I haven't made much progress..although I hope I have. I will remain focused and disciplined tomorrow to get further ahead than today. I just trust the data overload will sort itself out near the end! AND, the exhaustion is NOT theoretical for me today....it's literal.
Appreciate your sense of humor, Steve.

Hey, it's only day 2, plenty more to come. I did the same exploring around for the first couple of days, but then settled down a bit by focusing on lessons first, distractions second. I gave myself a timeline to get my WA affiliate site up, so that's added some self-imposed focus. Anyway, it's a been a pleasure meeting you!
