Leveraging Your WA Blog

I've seen a number of blogs here from people, extolling the virtues of Wealthy Affiliate. I myself have written a few times about my great experiences here. What used to confuse me, however, was when the blogs-- right here on WA-- were written in a way that you would expect to see on an affiliate site, complete with a CTA to try it out and maybe go premium.

"You're preaching to the choir!" I used to always think, It took seeing that sort of thing a few times, and hearing about how some blogs here are ranking on Google, for me to realise what the authors were doing; posting here on WA will likely give you more visibility than on your own site while it is in the early stages of development.

Lately, I have seen a number of other blogs that are being written and designed to bring in new members, as opposed to sharing one's experiences, and I have read about how to use your profile to get referrals.

I am wondering how many people are doing this, and how successful it has been? I'm willing to try pretty much anything that works.

I tried to share my posts here on Facebook but I am frustrated for as if people do not read it, they just like it and no more.

I have shared a few things on Facebook, but not too many. Usually anything I share is from my own site. I will have to share more directly from WA.

Hi Craig!

This is definitely another avenue of income earning that WA wants us to utilize!

Boomergp08's Trainings outline these concepts very well as do Loes' and Nathaniell's just to name a few! Remember that WA does have a hugely embedded presence here on the web - way larger than our own individual websites will ever have - so write every blog or training as if it is going to be seen by a potential customer!

Also, you can share content to your email contacts using the email icon at the top of each page. It works best one-email-at-a-time and best with gmail emails!

I am proud to spread the word about Wealthy Affiliate all while earning money - that's why we are all here!

I think you should try it!

Excellent question..would love to know as well..

I've been thinking about the very same thing, Craig. I definitely don't want to overstep my bounds here, but I'd sure like to leverage my posts as best as possible.

There have been a couple of blogs here that have discussed using keywords in your posts, the same as you would with anything on your site.

If you were to create a post, or perhaps training, with effective keywords, you might find yourself bringing new members in.

I'm going to try it, Craig. Are you going to try it too?

I don't see any reason not to.

Hey! I was just wondering the same thing. I've gotten one referral from one of my WA posts, but so far they have remained a free member.

Cool.

Did you put the link out there for people to see it, or did they find it on their own?

They must have found it on their own, because I haven't shared any of my posts outside of WA.

This is interesting. How does it work? I thought everything that was posted here stayed internal WA. I know that there is an affiliate link at the top of every page, but never completely understood how it was supposed to be used.

There have been blogs written by members here that have ranked quite well with Google, sometimes even surprising the members who wrote them, who may not have even realised it was possible.

The affiliate link will bring anyone who clicks on it to the page/ post that it is taken from, and will include your affiliate ID. So for example, if you see a blog written by someone here and you decide to share it using the affiliate link, then if someone follows it to WA and then decides to become a member, you will receive credit for it.

I've read a number of blogs here about people sharing how they've got referrals too through WA blogging. So I know it happens though myself haven't gotten any yet.

Have you tried? Do you share links to your blogs here, or write content at WA designed to attract new members?

Thanks for sharing, Craig.

Do whatever makes you feel good.
