Is There Such a Thing as WA-Anonymous?

Because really, there should be.

Hello. My name is Craig and I am addicted to Wealthy Affiliate.

Wow. I have commented in the past about how it is getting harder to keep up with my emails (I used to get about 10 per week, now I'm about 6x times that amount per day). I had all but dropped Facebook, which gave me more free time, but now I am back (though 95% for WA-related stuff) and I am now getting more involved with Google+.

The strange thing is that I am having more and more fun. I am feeling energised and have a strong desire to do more.Getting follows here and through Google is kind of like Pokemon... I "gotta catch them all."

I do have to be careful not to let this draw too much attention away from my site, but I have been slightly more active there, as well. The more I do, the more I feel I can do.

My only problem is this: as some of you know, I am presently unemployed, which has given me the opportunity to work on stuff here, but also presents a problem in that I have to find a job before my unemployment insurance runs out in another 8 weeks.

When I first lost my job, I was optimistic that I could start earning before I had to go back to work, but that hasn't happened. I'm not worried about that, though, because I know it will come in time. What bothers me is that I have to go back to work (well, technically I need to find a job first...) but I really don't want to. I want to stay here and keep learning and building the foundation for a better future.

Sigh.

Going back to the same crappy type of work that I have been doing for 28 years is going to be tough after the joy I have been feeling here at WA. I know I'll still have some time to log in and get stuff done, but I'm not sure how much.

Yep. It'll be a hard addiction to break.

Note: The world being what it is today, I feel the need to express that I am not making light of real addictions, which I know to be very serious. This post is meant in a lighthearted manner and if it offends anyone, I apologise as that is not my intention.

Definitely a good type of addiction to have Craig. I wish you the best on your return to the corporate world. Hopefully it won't be for too much longer before you are able to pursue your Online business full time.
Jerome

Thanks. Yes, I am keeping my fingers crossed....

I'm fed up with my day job and I came to WA for the same reason as everybody else. I am also addicted to WA like many other people here. I was also optimistic that's I'd be earning something by now but that has not happened, but I have another online income source which is freelancing, and that's helping.

Hm tricky. However that s the beauty of life. I m sure you will figure. I also know that I always try to kill 15 birds with one stone not just two. Guess what I think it works. Having said that, we all are Lords of our destiny. Good luck. You can do it

Totally with you there. I was getting frustrated with my job then i found WA my life has been awesome since. Everyday my focus is what next for my site which keeps me engergised and stops my job from negging me out.

WA for the Win!

That's awesome!

... I'm saying "awesome" far too much.... I need to stop watching the Lego Movie with my son all the time.

Iol I know what you mean, have a 2 boys hehe

I get the 'addiction' part totally. The key is to balance the WA fun time with activities that actually grow our business too.

Can be tricky though!

Kind regards,

Steve

Yes, it sure can. I feel like there is so much to do, but fortunately, as I mentioned, when I start something new it makes me feel like I can do more.

Now it all comes down to time management.

I used to read all these scare stories about finding something worthwhile in retirement and then I found WA. Happy ending. End of story!!!!

That's great though. My dad had a really hard time when he retired.

Hello. My name is Loes and I am addicted to Wealthy Affiliate

Lol nice one Loes

Hi Loes!

Hi Laura, good morning:) Have a great day!

LOL great post Craig! What more can I say .. lol. Cheers, William.

I need to start looking for a job too beyond WA. My goal is to have adequate money before unemployment ends in a few months. I don't worry about money, though. Maybe it's partly because certain difficulties I've had in life lead me to question the meaning of life more than the value of money. Of course, one has to have a minimal amount of money for basic survival, though.

Yes, ultimately making good money through one's website is more fulfilling than a stupid mundane job, yet one has to maintain a positive attitude while doing the stupid mundane job.

For sure. The thought of going back is not appealing though.

On the other hand, if I find a new job, I'll have all kinds of new people to tell about WA...

Craig,
Finding balance between WA and real life is sometimes the problem. You have to spend some time with people outside WA.

John

Bah. Who needs people.

I kid, I kid.
I do actually have some outside activities, but in terms of working and such, I'd much rather be here than anywhere else.
