Just do a search for "quotes" in using any search engine. Then click on "images" at the top of the page. There are several categories to choose from. You'll find quotes that run the gamut of just about everything you can think of.
The quotes definitely are meaningful. To me they usually confirm a truth...usually in our thinking process. This confirmation and thinking is just the beginning...they need to be followed by action. For example...the rent being due everyday. In our business that means...keyword research, writing content, working on our websites. It's all good. Debbie
Some phrases are very telling statements.
Success is never owned but rented is certainly one of them.
Let me explain.
I can personally think of many examples of organizations that were at the top of their game and business and did not pay the rent. I relate this statement to that.
If you don't pay the rent for success (things like keeping ahead of the game, Customer satisfaction, anticipating Customer requirements in the future and overall, doing the right things and doing them right) the landlord (your paying Customers) will eventually give you the boot.
A sad example recently is Sears.

Next to paying rent I need to come up with content or learn something from our WA members
Just as sure as your rent or mortgage is due every month like clockwork, if you decide to stop paying, you'll eventually find an eviction notice on your door.

Because they are quotes by someone who knows nothing about what we are doing!

I disagree, Paul. They are not meaningless. Those quotes are popular for a reason. Sure, many of them are just different ways of saying the same thing, but they serve as reminders and daily affirmations for people to stay ambitious, focused and determined to succeed.
I like quotes. It helps me to think about where I am and where I'm going. This is a great quote. Every quote has a message
This makes sense to me. You cannot become successful and then sit back and watch it. You have to give every day and manage every day and work on it every day. It is like most relationships in life that are only good if you keep working on it.
For me, phrases and sayings like this one are good reminds me to keep moving and keep working and bettering myself.

I like it. Words are simply what we as individuals interpret them to be from our own perspective. To me, this says we don't reach success and then think "I have arrived" and expect it to last with no further efforts. How many one-hit wonders are there in the music business?. Golfers practice everyday to maintain their positions. Win a tournament one year and 2 years later you may be out of the game.
So, to all those who post these sayings, keep 'em coming. To answer your question, it does apply to me. Nothing's ever come easy and continuing to work and get better is just in my blood.
