The truth about BLOGGING MYTHS in 3 minutes!

Hey, I am Lula.

Blogging is not in season anymore. It won't generate leads. Say what. Are you kidding me? Is this even true?

Over time, blogging has transformed into a new platform for making a hefty amount of money at the comfort of your home.

How many words would you have hoped to write? 500? Is that enough? Really if you look in SERPs, would you even find articles of 500 words or less and ranking?

For organic outreach, in-depth content works better because there is plenty of time to include popular keywords.

The right way to go about it is focusing on being valuable to your visitors at whatever lengths you need to cover a blog post topic without fluff adequately. If you go about reading articles, would you expect anything less or rather an in-depth report? So you want to construct a solid strategy that can allow you to share and market your content.

I am hopeless when it comes to blogging. Oh my goodness, my writing sucks!

Hey, what matters more is getting your point across to educate your visitors about something new, but yeah, it is an added value if you can write. I use Grammarly for learning and writing, and I am finding it a worthwhile investment.

Are you that kind of guy who freezes up, finally getting to open a new doc and donna precisely what to say or have enough to fill a blog post?

If you can explain a concept to your colleagues, it is pretty much the same. What the big deal, right?

Blimey, do I have to blog daily?

No, not really, not when starting; a two to three posts weekly is adequate to get your site and niche going; later down the line, when the site becomes an authority and having scaled a marketing team to have enough content, you can blog daily.

Are you not seeing immediate success?

When first starting, there's always going to be a learning curve, a painful process, writing posts, and hardly any traffic, but you'll see things pick up a bit as time progresses; your hard work and practices would pay off.

If you cannot write a post in an hour tops, don't bother, blogging is not for you. Say what? Is this for real?

Depending on what type of posts, as long as they serve your audience and helping your business grow, you are good to go. So do not be so concerned if you don't crank it in an hour; I always say not worth compromising on quality. The better best the quality of the content you share, the higher the possibility of lead conversions.

Blogging is about educating your audience while keeping them engaged. In other words, when you put your content up, it is your job to keep it relevant, helpful as well as entertaining.

Remain focused.

I can really connect with this as I feel pretty much the same. I sit and wonder if each of my blogs is better than the one before. It’s like climbing a mountain. The mountain gets steeper but you have to be faster. This just happened to me today, I am doing a “ low hanging fruit” post and my expectations were that it should be the best yet. Each day I get that 2% better until the sun is veritably shining out of every orifice and people step back in awe at the word magician. Lol. I think we need to accept that some posts and blogs will be better and some not as enthralling. However I think each piece comes together as a whole like one big jig saw puzzle, but some days the dog walked in and chewed around the edges of a couple of pieces. Anyway I am not going to beat myself up about it as long as I get the message across.

Very encouraging post, CountryLife!!
I use to do a lot of writing for high school assignments (writing paragraphs and pages about many different topics- giving my take on what I've read from novels, books, magazines, newspaper articles, etc) back in the day.
I'm confident that I can work out the cobwebs to write my first blog due to your post and other inspiring blogs and writings on the WA platforms. Not that I haven't been writing in the past little while. I have been. But not at the blogging level. If that's such a thing.
I have many interests and it's been a struggle to come up with a niche/topic/article to blog about. Apparently this is one of the things that Bloggers wrestle with when they first get started. So I don't feel alone.
I am on my way!!
ThanX!!

Good comments Lula! I am not the kind of person who is comfortable with small talk and I hate talking on the phone typically. Not that I am not good at it, but I say things when I have something to say.

Isn't daily blogging kind of like "small-talk" I may get lambasted for saying it I know. It is a skill I must get used to doing.

Thanks Lula

Thanks for this thorough post, Lula!

Jeff

You make some very good points, Lulu. Focus and determination help a great deal!
