Thank you to all my followers

Just a quick thank you, and an apology to all those who have followed me recently and I have not followed back. I have not done so as I spend less and less time on here, as it is proving to be a major distraction to what I want to achieve.

As such I will be leaving when my annual membership expires in July, hence my reason for not pursuing the somewhat pointless task of following anybody back lately. I hope you all understand.

Best of luck Gary I wish you much success. I to have decided to concentrate on a huge website project I have been planning for 2 years. I have found with all the recent changes to Google it is more important than ever to have a strong brand. I have my little sites make me money on auto pilot now so I will have more time for my project.
Again I wish you all the best.

Cheers
Russell

Thanks Russell, yes that is something I have been encouraging a lot of people to do, as we have discussed previously it is well documented that Google are now beginning to penalize small sites and are far more interested in brands.

I think the problem is that a lot of the scams come from small sites so people feel safer with brands. This is an issue across the internet, on sites like ebay for example your items get far better rankings the bigger and more established you are.

In the meantime you only have to look at page 1 on Google and in most cases the top sites are the big ones. Branding is now very important and this is what I am working on.

There is a book I highly recommend to everybody, in fact I would say it is essential reading, regarding building a big brand which compliments WA perfectly. I will post details of this in due course.

Gary, much success on your other adventure. I too have left WA, seeking what could be a better way to go. But I came back, and in time I believe you will return as well.

Many thanks. It's not so much seeking a better way to go but a case of continuing to work on what I have already started.

I feel that the money, and most certainly the time, will be better spent developing my site rather than on WA.

Best wishes, we will miss you.

We'll miss you :(

Just curious as to what you're planning to do about your website hosting?

I've already moved my main website to a UK host Stephanie. I had issues with a slider on the site which WA's hosts said was using a lot of bandwidth but since moving to the new hosts it is far faster, in fact loads instantly, and I have no issues whatsoever.

It's much better in other ways too, I have automatic daily backups and a control panel with lots of other features so it's been well worth the switch. I think WA is only geared up for smaller sites.

Got it.

Ok, good for you! I'm so happy that things have been going well and I really wish you all the best and much, much continued success!

I would say keep us updated, but, well... we'll miss you!

Thanks to everybody. As some of you will know I have targeted a very competitive niche in the UK, mobile phone contracts, which is taking up a lot of time and I need to throw even more time at it to make it work.

It's a long term plan which requires a 1,000+ page site which must continue to grow. It will work as long as I keep doing what I am doing. It is going well in terms of how the site is coming together and in fact today I have had an invitation from one of the UK's largest independent retailers to join their affiliate program. That's progress, when they are inviting you instead of you going looking for them!

But WA is very time consuming and I also believe I have learnt enough to get me where I want to be in what will be a year here. I also have to say that I feel there is a lack of expertise here when it comes to more technical issues. So with some regrets, I have decided not to renew my subscription but hope to be back later, hopefully to fill that lack of expertise gap for others.

For everybody out there, if it seems hard, if you don't think you're going to get there, KEEP ON GOING. That independent retailer I mentioned above? Their chairman has been knighted in the UK and they started with £5,000. You all have much more information here than any of those people had when they started, and for considerably less money. WA is a wonderful resource to get you started.

You will only fail if you give up. As I said in a recent post, stop dreaming of success, wake up and go get it. That's what I'm doing.

Never forget the most important rule: If you are not sure, ASK!

Good luck...

Best wishes as you continue on your journey.

sorry you are leaving wish you every success

You will be missed, Gary!

All the best to you. I hope you will be back to WA some time soon.

All the best, coolcity
