What drove Them to It I Wonder
Near my home is a long stretch of rail lines, which are used by fast trains as well as local ones. Every so often, incidents occur along these lines resulting in loss of lives.
I’ve often wondered what might drive someone to a point of jumping in front a fast train. I am not talking about isolated incidents here. Only a few days ago, we were stuck in a train for a long time because of one of these incidents.
Some big cities often present impersonal environment where even neighbours seldom know or speak to one another (I’m generalising here but you get the gist!).
Wealthy Affiliate does something unique, which isn’t common practice out there in big cities – community spirit!
Let’s throw the challenge out there:
Do you flash a warm smile to a stranger? That smile could be the only positive interaction they’ve had for a while…
I’m not in any way simplifying or trivialising the problem but if everyone gives a smile or says hello to 6 strangers every day, the world may be more beautiful than it currently is.
Vera in WA community posted a poignant post earlier, which I thought sheds some light in people’s lives. It’s called “Let there be light” - https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/verazhelvis/blog/let-there-be-light
Have a beautiful day :)

Sending a MILE can change a person's entire outlook for a day :-) And, I agree that the world would be more beautiful if everyone would just SMILE :-) Happy Sunday!!
That's a very good post. And if we can do anything smiling, talking to people, writing positive things, thinking positively, let's do it...Sometimes a smile, just a smile can work wonders...:)
Asking why is pointless. I've been there and I still don't understand the why....Always sharing smiles and kind words does a lot for both parties and I wish more people took the time to do it more often. Like you, I recognize that this community offers something quite unique when it comes to strong ties and helpful natures.

Smiling and saying hi to someone is an extremely powerful gift we have as humans. We just need to use that gift more often.
Totally agree Lisa. If only we can use that gift more...
