"This place sucks! Scammed again?!"
Ok, so I've been with WA now for just over 3 months, and when I started I was skeptical because I'd been had by so many other online programs that were supposed to help me make money online, but failed.
So at this point, I've made no money off my sites, gotten very little traffic AND most of my friends and family think I'm wasting my money and time being here.
I've heard it said that many dropout around the 3 month mark if they've had no success at that point, so I guess this is where I'm supposed to lower my head and turn and walk away kicking rocks while saying "this place sucks, I've been scammed again!"
However, this is different. I can't say I've had NO success, because success isn't always about money. I've successfully built 3 websites so far, and started 2 others. I've learned more in 3 months here than I had trying to build websites and make money online myself for the last several years!
I know I haven't made money off my sites because I'm hard-headed and didn't listen, so I have no one to blame but myself. My success or failure is in my own hands, and had I listened to Kyle and others in the community and focused on ONE site only I'm sure I'd be getting better results at this point.
Ah well, at least we learn from our mistakes - sometimes trial and error is the best way to learn, so I've learned a great way NOT to do things at least!
So my advice to anyone starting out, focus on ONE site only! Stick with one, no matter how many ideas may come to you that may seem great at the time. Find a low competition niche that interests you, go thru the lessons, and add lots of content to your ONE site ... not a little bit on a few different sites all at once, unless you want your progress to be slowed down and sitting there after 3 months wondering why you haven't progressed more, like me.
So do I think this place sucks and WA is a scam?! NO WAY! I still love it here and believe in this program now more than ever! I know WA offers all the training and resources anyone needs to succeed online, and the community here is so great and helpful! I just made that my title so more of you would see it and come read my blog. ;) Controversy is a good way to stir up interest, after all. :p
Also, I'm somehow ranked in the top 40 at WA after just a few months - seems like that must be due to a kink in the ranking system! Not sure how that's happened, but I do try to help others as much as I can, especially since I've received so much help myself - and that's another thing I'd encourage new members and everyone at WA to do, pay it forward!
Overall, I've learned a lot here and I'm grateful for this opportunity and this program! I know I now have the knowledge to find the financial freedom I've wanted for sooo long, it's just going to take a little longer than I had hoped. I'm excited about moving forward, so whether it takes a year or 10 years I'm here for the long haul - or at least as long as I can afford the membership!
The only complaint I can possibly think of after 3 months with WA is that Kyle and Carson apparently think my name's too long, which is why my first name is missing a couple of vowels. :p
Ah well, guess I can live with that!

As you mentioned, not all success is measured in "money", especially as you get started because it takes time to build any business from scratch.
Those who look for overnight success are the ones who don't get past the first few months and expect to be generating a huge income without putting enough work in first.
You've done great by creating a number of websites. At this point I'd strongly suggest that you focus on ONE of them only. When you work on 3 websites at once, it's like starting 3 brand new restaurants at the same time, all serving different types of food. It's going to be very difficult to achieve financial success if you don't put your all into one of them.
I like your mindset that you are here for the long haul because those who succeed online are those who put in the time. Every millionaire who owns an online business has been working at this for years, and we all started with the same mindset that you have of being in this for the long haul. Your website is the future of your business and with every word you publish it gets you closer to achievement of your goals.
Your rank here at WA is not related to financial "Success", it's a rank of how active you are within the community and how helpful others feel that you are. It's a rank of taking action of what you learn, and having a positive impact on others.
A discussion like this where you're sharing your thoughts and your mindset with others works towards your rank. Helping others by answering questions works towards your rank. Even asking questions works towards your rank.
Stay positive, reflect on your activity often, and keep moving forward. Choose one website and one niche to focus on and it'll start to gain in the search engines. Once you start ranking, visitors will start flooding in and you'll be generating revenue shortly after that.
Financial freedom will come, you've done a lot in just 3 months being part of the Wealthy Affiliate community.

I've definitely learned from my mistakes, and I will focus on one site moving forward, as I've finally started doing the last few weeks.
I'm aware that rank isn't based on financial success, I was joking about their being a glitch in the system - just because I feel there are others below me who are more helpful and know more more than I do.... but I've worked hard at building my rank to where it is not, and I believe I've helped a lot of people as well.
I do feel I've accomplished a lot in 3 months, thanks to this program you and Kyle have created and to all the helpful members of the community!
I love it here, and I can't wait to see what the future holds!!

That's a hard lesson to learn online Focus...Focus ...Focus... Get good at one thing then move on to the next. Something I constantly struggle with. That's awesome you caught on to that so quickly.

Took me three years to build a business and make money online. That's about how long it takes in the off line world. But it feels so good now to make money while I'm sleeping. All you need to do is find a niche your are passionate about and keep at it.
