Why You Should Stop Letting AI Write All Of Your Content.
Hey all... I just wanted to create this post as it is something I have picked up on.
I have noticed lately that a lot of people are publishing content that clearly comes straight from the WA Authors. You can spot it a mile off, well at least I can. It has all the overly obvious AI wording, no personal experiences whatsoever, no natural flow, and so on..
It might read “correctly,” but it doesn’t feel real at all....
AI is a really cool tool and I use it myself every day. Like Kyle says, it takes out all the heavy lifting of creating content. The WA team has done a fantastic job creating this and what used to take us a few days to write is now done in just a few seconds.
But for me, the difference comes down to how you use the AI tools given to us here.. Letting it completely write everything for you is not the same as using it to help you improve your content, give you ideas, or tidy up your structure.
When your content has no personal stories, no feelings, and no personal experience, readers can see it.
It’s like listening to a robot in my opinion.
If you want people to actually read what you write, here are a few simple things that I do which might help you!!
- Add your own voice. Say things the way you would say them. Never be afraid to sound human.
- Share your real experiences. Talk to people about what has worked for you, what hasn't and what you have learned along the way.
- Keep it conversational. Imagine you’re explaining it to a friend, not writing a lesson out for your college class.
- Be honest about your mistakes. Readers can and will relate more to your struggles rather than the perfect results you have had.
- Don’t over polish things. The more you try to you edit and perfect AI text, the more it starts to sound fake.
At the end of the day, for me, content that gets remembered, shared, and trusted always comes from a voice with a real human side to it.
So if you’re using AI for your site content, that’s cool.... just make sure you’re using you even more.
I know I am not the first person here to highlight this, and it is even covered in the training, but I still see it happening, and quite a lot.
That's my 10 cents worth anyway.... what do you all think?
And... did I write this using AI?? :)
Thanks all....
Chris

What do I think??? Totally agree with you here Chris!!
I haven't been as active here on the platform recently as I used to be......
Mainly because every article is AI generated...
Don't get me wrong here... I love using AI on my websites!!
But...
I think it should be banned 100% on this platform where we learn from and about each and every one of us's (if that's a word) experiences!!
Take care buddy and this is 100% non AI written!!!
👍👍👍
Yes a lot of the stuff you see on here is also clearly AI generated... and I am not really against it... until it is clearly 100% AI with no human input whatsoever....
Like I say, I can spot it a mile away, and I am not the only one... I just leave!!!
Take care too and nice to catch up with you :)
Chris
Unfortunately... a LOT of it is 100% AI.... I, like you just leave!!!
But it does seem to be devaluing the platform here in my honest opinion...
Enjoy the rest of your week my friend! :-))
Well.. for me no.. I dont want to say that.... I think the training and tools we have here are amazing..... maybe it has just lost that personal touch somewhat!!
For example.. someone the other day sent me a personal private message... and within the message it says.
Dont worry, your first time doesnt need to be your last...
AI!!!! right?
Not a lot personal about that lol
But I still enjoy it here... Just a lot of the material that people put on here when it comes to their blog.. I skip it!
I totally agree with you, Chris. And I agree with Robert. You used AI and edited it. (That's what I do. But I never ever publish something straight from the WA AI Writer. I give it to ChatGPT first to change it to my voice. Then I edit it and add things I think should be added - some of my own experience, etc., and then I give it back to ChatGPT to 'polish' it, and then I edit it once more taking out em dashes and AI words like 'engaging', 'navigate', 'key' etc.)
Isabella
Yeah got it Isabella... I do the same..
I know a lot is said when it comes to being able to publish lots of posts in quick succession with the help of AI.... I think I saw one WA post on here with someone saying they can or will publish 50 posts in 50 days..
For me this is not possible
Every post I create here using the WA writers is given my own touch and it goes through rewrites...
I usually spend a couple of days pulling it to pieces... Making edits .. changing things round... Fixing images... Doing the SEO... It still takes me time..
All in all I manage to publish a couple of times a week to my website... But I feel satisfaction that I have put in the effort...
I do not think I would be as satisfied simply to take AI material and publish it with little to no effort on my part...
So... Apart from the timeframe we spend... I think we do things pretty much the same way!!
That's for popping in
Good to hear from you ')
Chris
you totally used AI to write this. Then edited it.
Seriously though, it needs to stop (the publishing, not the AI use). It's ruining the internet lol.
If I can't read a post from start to finish, (the long ones - not these snippets) I'll edit it until I can.
That's my 10 cents worth anyway 😜
Here's GPTs
"Spot on, Chris — you’ve nailed what a lot of people overlook. I use AI daily too, but it’s more like a writing partner than a ghostwriter. It can structure ideas and tighten things up, but without your own voice and experience woven in, it reads flat — like you said, “listening to a robot.”
That middle part you mentioned about keeping it conversational and sharing mistakes really hits home. The posts that stick are always the ones where you can feel the person behind the words.
And yep, I did read to the end — clever touch with that question! 😄"

Anyways, AI's for drafts.
AAhhh thanks Robert... appreciate you reading and getting your GPT perspective too... :)
Nice to hear from you! and yeah, it is ruining the internet... I need only to read first 2 lines and I know... then I leave!
Chris
Thanks Michael... I know people will do what they will do... like i say... just my 10 cents worth :)
