What is an Amazon Bounty
I recently received an email from the Amazon Associates Program with the question about what is a Bounty?
Well apparently it appears to be another way in which to make money using the Amazon Affiliate program.
If you do not already know about Amazon's bounty, I am going to quickly give you a brief run down on what this all entails.
- Bounty payments - what they actually are.
- Tips on how you can implement them onto your pages.
- Integrating the links to the Amazon services.
As well as having the ability to earn advertising fees with the product category, you will also have the chance to earn what is referred to as fixed fees and these also come from your advertising. However, these extra premiums are not tailored to products, they are instead paid on fact of you promoting the services like Prime, Audible and Music Unlimited of Amazon,co,uk. When a person visits your website and then makes the decision to sign up to one of Amazon's services free trial subscription, you will then get a fixed advertising fee. This fee that you then get is referred to as a bounty.
It is just as easy to promote Amazon's services as it is to promote their products. All you need to do is to integrate either a banner or Associate link into your website. There are two ways in which you can do this and they are either using the SiteStripe Tool or by using an Associates Central banner which is still in existence.
.If someone who is visiting your site then makes the decision to sign up for either a trial or fixed membership and go via your Associate link for one of Amazon's services then you will be granted with the bounties which are listed below:
- Amazon Prime: £3 per trial membership
- Amazon Audible: £5 per free trial subscription and £8 per subscription plus £0.50 for each audio book sold
- Music Unlimited: £4.50 for a free trial membership.
I am assuming that anyone who is an Amazon Affiliate, will also have received the email and was happy with the news as I know I certainly was.
For members who are not members, I do hope this is obviously great news for you as well as encouraging you to become an Affiliate for Amazon.

Great info, Cheryl! Thanks for clearing that up. I had no idea what Amazon bounty was. I'll have to investigate it now!
You are very welcome Ashley and glad that I cleared this up for you. It looks really good. xx
If you are not already part of the Affiliate program then you need to go to Amazon to apply to become a member then when you have been approved you can then go ahead and lnsert banners and all the other things onto your site.
have a great weekend.
Thanks for that information Cheryl. I have never used Amazon's Bounty program. Do you know what Amazon's method of payment is for Bounty sales?
With the CPM ads I currently have on my site, revenue is listed separately from my product sales revenue. It appears that if I ever reach $100 with CPM that will be paid separately from the normal sales fees. I'll be lucky if I every get paid for CPM!!
Hello Valerie, nice to see you. It has been so long.
The methods of payment can be by bank deposit, Amazon gift cards or by cheque.
Because there seems to be quite a few Amazon Affiliate members here at WA, I thought that this should be something everyone should be aware off.
I did think though that all Affiliate members would have received the email as well.
Hope you are doing well. xx
I'm saving this. Some of the movies on Prime are awesome. I know of people who might like them!
Feel free Mike. When I read the email, I was off the opinion that as my site is on the different ways to read books, this is a very good service as there is Kindle Unlimited and Audible unlimited which is good for my site. xx
