Hey Ashley,
Google searching "onepress tutorial on video lightbox" (without the quotation marks, of course) I found the theme's documentation that included this... plus YouTube video tutorials that you may find helpful.
Hope this helps you.
Hi Trish,
Thanks. I've already been through the tutorial and all it says is to put in the video URL. But that's the problem. The URL straight up copied and pasted makes this ugly grid of 12 suggested videos at the end of my video. It's terrible. All the YouTube videos say to go to the share button and then click on embed and uncheck the box for the suggested videos and then copy that link to a post or page on your site. The issue is that the video lightbox is not a post or page. If I do create a post or page to embed the video, I can find no way to link it back to the Video Lightbox area. Frustrating!
Ashley
Oooh... okay Ashley,
Try searching "onepress tutorial on video lightbox to stop related videos" (without the quotation marks, of course) to see if you can find something this way.
If you have your video on your own YouTube Channel this is by far the easiest way to take that code and embed it within your article or on your Sidebar.
When its your own you can also change it to suit your site.
Robert
It's my own channel and my own video I created, but I can't embed it into the article because there is no article. This theme has customized sections that don't appear on the dashboard. I don't have side bars. This is a landing page. I can't get into the backend of this section to embed the code so I have to do it a different way. Just don't know what that is.
I tried it on my Test Site and I was able to add a code for a video into a post.
All I did was I didn't bother with the Recommended Actions and simply went straight adding a post.
Hi Robert- I tried making a post, but the way the customizer is on this theme, I can't add the post to Video Lightbox section. All the other sections allow you to play with the settings and content, but not this one. I can only add a URL, but there is no way to modify it. The section takes only the direct URL. I've even tried to find a YouTube video on this and I didn't come up with anything. The company who made the theme is called FameThemes and I opened up a support ticket with them. Thanks for looking into this and trying to help! This is super frustrating. I've been at it for 3 and 1/2 hours. Time to take a break and hope that their support gets back to me.
BR,
Ashley
No probs Ashley but why not change to another theme, so much easier than trying to get one that doesn't do what you want.
Robert
I really, really like this theme. Everything else about it has worked out splendidly and the landing page looks great. This is the last thing I need to do and it's all finished. I know there has to be a fix for this (and probably an easy one at that, I just haven't been creative enough!). I can't be the only one using this theme that doesn't want suggested YouTube videos to pop up when their main video is done. I hope their tech support can help!
Thanks again so very much!!!!
Ashley
Ok Ashley, why not ask in Live Chat, maybe someone has had the same problem as you and found a solution.
I'm off out now so maybe catch you later.
Robert
Oh! That's a great idea! I'm off now, too, but I will do that when I come back :)
Happy Sunday!
Ashley
Nope- not sorted yet. I'm still combing through tutorials online. There just has to be an answer :(
Hi Ashley
Maybe this will help you
https://acuwebservices.com/tutorials/wp-content-lightbox-tutorial-adding-youtube-videos/
not sure if this will work but try. go to embedresponsively.com paste your youtube embed code there. after input, it will give a new code that adjusts to various formats and sizes automatically. it worked for me with me embed problem.
I have the embed code already, it's just that there is no where on this theme to put it. I'm looking for another way to do it within the section area of video lightbox

How do I embed a video in onepress using the video lightbox?

UPDATE- for those following, replying and being so very helpful!
I received information from the theme creator that I can't do anything about this issue on the Free theme I have. It's set up to only take direct URLs that are copied and pasted in the link place holder on the theme.
Their only solution was for me to "upgrade" to the paid OnePress Plus theme and then I could actually embed a modified link on the site. Just a little bit upset about this.
For now, I'm just going to stay with the Free theme along with the annoyance of those dastardly suggested videos at the end of my video. If money starts rolling in from my project, then I might consider the up grade.
On a good note, everything else about the Free OnePress theme is great! All in all, I'm really happy with the site so it's not all bad!
Cheers to all and happy Monday!

Does anyone know of a widget where you can use both an image and text with a link? I found a plugin, but it's not supported with my theme. I would ideally like to use a widget
How useful and easy. Thank you for asking and thank you, Marion for being such a helpful and knowledgeable person. shary
Try this About Me Text Widget Instead of making it an about me widget you can use any image and any text you like.
Thanks so much Marion! It worked :) I still have to tweak it a bit, but it's working!
You're a God send!!!!

Hi Mike,
If it really is a WA certificate issue then it will probably affect the other browsers with the exception of maybe IE.
For now, the support team was able to fix the problem for me so hopefully it won't happen again for me or anyone else :)
Thanks,
Ashley

Hi Trish,
I did end up contacting support and they got right back to me. It's fixed now :) There was some sort of certificate problem and they are looking into why it happened.
Thanks for the fast response! :)
Ashley
Hi, AshleyFisher. Here is a break down of the problem.
Error: "Your connection is not secure The owner of [domain name] has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website. SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER"
When accessing a web site with Mozilla Firefox, you may receive the following error messages:
Error Message
Your connection is not secure
The owner of [domain name] has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER
Cause
This issue occurs when the Intermediate CA certificate is missing or not installed on the server.
Solution
To resolve the error, please install the Intermediate CA certificate.
Click here to download the Intermediate CA certificate
Install the Intermediate CA certificate on the server.
Click here for IIS and Exchange servers installation steps
Click here for other server platform installation steps
Hi PParadise,
Thanks for the response. The error actually said:
SEC_ERROR_CERTIFICATE.
In doing the advance search firefox said to update my date and time, but that was correct. The next thing was to go to admin because the hosting site might not have updated their SSL cert. I contacted WA support and they fixed it and I've sent them a screen shot, too. Apparently, every time I log in, the WA site has a red lock with a line through it so that might be the issue.
They are looking into that. For now, I'm back up and running, thank goodness!
Thanks for your help and fast response! I really appreciate it!
