Content Marketing Is Our Stepping Stone! Make It Compelling.
Election Campaigns have gone digital and we are consumed by all the content - good, bad and indifferent - being thrown at us. In trying to make sense of it all, I was reminded this weekend that Content Marketing is our stepping stone to building a diverse, sustainable and dynamic career as a Digital Entrepreneur.
We are Content Marketers before anything else - Affiliate Marketers, SEO Experts, Website Managers, Social Media Gurus. It all begins with understanding that content is key - and king!
Once you understand this and get the basics of it right, everything else will fall in line. Mastering your content and building your bucket of quality, fresh content should always be your start-my-day objective.
An Opportunity To Offer New Ideas
It is a dynamic and diverse field which provides you with an opportunity to take your new ides to work each and every day. It does not matter what your niche is or where you are working from. You have the opportunity to put a fresh spin on any topic (niche) of your choosing.
You can go dive into a niche like this:
- Animals
- Dogs
- Breeds of dogs
- Nutrition for different breeds of dogs
- Changing nutrition for different breeds of dogs as they grow
Adding your research, experience, thoughts and ideas to your content will give you years of writing for your chosen niche. Along the way, feedback, comments and the marketing of your content will further diversify your content reach.
An Opportunity To Educate
As you publish you original, quality content you will be building trust and relationships while giving your readers and visitors the information they need to make an educated purchasing decision.
Remember, you are not telling them what to buy. You are providing them with all the information they need to make an INFORMED decision.
In the end, it will be their decision to make a purchase that they feel satisfies their need or want. You role is to ensure that they have everything in one place instead of having to search all over the internet to find it.
You are a library of content, so to speak. A repository.
An Opportunity To Generate Leads
Your objective is to generate leads. This is how you will monetise your content. You must therefore ensure that your call to action is clear, direct and compelling.
Focus on attracting, bringing life to your content and making it engaging. Boring does not enable or motivate.
Your goal is to drive profitable buyer action.
How Compelling Is Your Content?
We are currently on a Social Media drive at WA. Your content will be the engine that keeps your visitors and followers engaged, interested and willing to take action to purchase your products and services.
You have a wonderful opportunity to become a respected and sought-after authority in our billion member market of the internet.
Do ensure that your content is engaging, satisfying and compelling.
Have a content-filled week!

I'd like to think that at some point I will be able to satisfy all three of the criteria you ascribe to. It's no easy ask, while keeping the goal of 'making a sale' in mind.
Maybe the key is not to think of the sale but instead provide answers to all the questions that a reader/user/customer might have and maybe some that they might not have thought of yet ?
To be able to engage in such a manner would require one to have selected the appropriate 'niche', something that you can write passionately about while still delivering the relevant information in a knowledgable and authoritative style.
Not sure I'm there yet.
Thank you Cassi for an engaging, satisfying and compelling read.
Twack, I am like you, not there yet and still learning, trying, adapting and experimenting.
I am loving it though!
WA gives a perfect setting to test our writings.
I have been reviewing mine of late to assess which ones engage and satisfy more inside and outside of our community.
Quite an interesting exercise.
Always so good to engage. 🙂
Thank you.

You are more than welcome Cassi.
Shorter seems to work better for me within the platform (no easy task, I can tell you😂.)
Titles seem to play a major roll for initial engagement and writing in the 'mad as a box of frogs' style seems to elicit the best response.
My very first website (long since deleted, thouhg I did keep the content) had a large portion of semi-autobiographical stuff on it and I found it hard to view it in any other way than 'boring'. One of the children came up with a good point, in that I knew what was coming when I read it, whereas someone else wouldn't.
Anyway, the point I suppose, is that we can be over critical at times and it wouldn't hurt to have an inbiased set of eyes read through to give an honest account.
Great reminder on the "fuel" that is driving our business as Digital Entrepreneurs.
Engaging, satisfying and compelling! The three words are written down, printed out and pinned on the wall above my office desk
I love your example niche 😉. It shows how to break down your niche in the smallest fragments, and in doing it, creating limitless keywords for your engaging, satisfying, and compelling blog posts.
Thank you for a well-written reminder and guide to content writing.

You are very welcome, Roy.
Thank you for your reinforcing contribution.
An excellent summary.
For me, your posts always contain those 3 elements and provide me with additional learning and motivation.
Keep growing! 🙂

Hi Cassi excellent Post & Share. I just posted on my site "How to Write A Persuasive Essay The Best Way". You can't see it because of problems I had in the beginning without going to my site which is not allowed by Google. Back to your post, many of those not so nice political commercials use the persuasive essays to sell their product. It uses emotions etc to frame issues and not facts which is required for an argumentative essay. On the other hand it is a useful tool for students, management and small business owners and many more. It was difficult but fun to make. I really enjoyed your post and wanted to say what I did because it was in in a similar vein to you post "engaging, satisfying and compelling" results. Best to you.
Edward, thank you for your encouraging feedback.
I like the title of your post and look forward to reading it.
Yes, these political writings have a way of using emotions to motivate us and direct our thinking.
We can learn a lot from them.
I appreciate your sharing.

Engaging content is both satisfying and compelling. It enhances the fulfillment for the thirst of knowledge like a magnet drawing information to the reade, but what do I know. I'm just a newbie and you are the queen.
Mike
You are not "just a newbie", Mike.
You have all your experience and knowledge under your belt.
That's a goldmine right there!
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement.

Thanks for this post, Cassi, it's a reminder for me not to write so much in educational style and try to be more entertaining or engaging. Not easy for me, that's for sure.
If my articles are compelling, that's a question. I'd like to think they are because I only recommend what I love and have good experience with.
And that is all you are required to do, Lenka.
Write from your heart and "feel" your words as you lay them out.
You are doing great!
